Dealing With Death

Sequel to The Reason Sirius Doesn't Love Anymore. It has been six years since Belief's death and everyone is in their seventh year. Sirius still isn't the same. James and Lily are officially together and Severus is no longer tolerated by anyone but the Slytherins.

2. Dreams

There she was, standing in front of him.  Her hair was blown behind her, completely perfect.  She was in her red and gold Griffyndor robes.  She turned and saw him looking at her.  She ran towards him, a look of joy plastered on her face.

Suddenly, she tripped.  He laughed and went to her.  He helped her up then pulled her into a hug.  She laughed into his chest.  He looked down at her and she looked up at him.  She put a hand on his face gently.  He smiled at her and grasped her hand on his face.  He pulled it away and kissed it.

He felt so happy.  It was only in his dreams that he was truly joyful.  He fell into those violet eyes he loved so much and she played with her auburn locks.  She looked up from looking at the ground and stared at his sparkling grey eyes.

It was perfect.  He spun her around and a quartet appeared.  They began to play and the couple started dancing.  The music slowed as did they.  She looked up at him sorrowfully.

"I have to go," said she

She ran away and he watched her, tears running down his cheeks.

"Goodbye, I miss you." He whispered

He stood there as the quartet disappeared.  The sun went down and as it went along the worse his pain became.  Finally it sank completely and he collapsed onto the ground.  His face was flooded with tears and contorted with the experience of agony.

He had changed so much since her death.  He didn't joke as much and was more aloof.  He didn't acknowledge the girls who crushed on him.  He spent more time with Remus than before.  He didn't want to be around James and Lily as often because they still had each other.  He didn't blame anyone but himself for Belief's death though.
