Small Things

Poetry, what else?

14. A Vision

When I walk

In the shadows

I see a fork

Where the path narrows

And I wonder whether,

As I watch a feather,

If this will be my life

Forever searching for a wife.

But this isn't the true cause

Of why I stop here to pause

And think of what could have been,

Of all I might have seen,

The adventures I would have made

Before I began to fade.

Now I am a mirage, a vision

Having disappeared through an incision

Which connects this world

With another that's unfurled

To make my dreams come true

Whilst discovering wonders anew.
