It's been raining, for days upon days and I haven't ventured to leave the house. I feel really bad for interrupting Cyrah's party with my own problem, but I cant bring myself to blaming it all on me. She had to know, but I didn't really want the whole congregation to know. I sigh deeply in thought. My head rests against the door frame of my bedroom and I stare at the ceiling blankly.
"Well, at least I know what I've lost," I murmur to myself quietly. "I wouldn't kill myself over him though, why would I even have a nightmare about that? That's insane? Wait, why am I talking to myself? Am I going insane? Where's Brigid?"
"Here," rings a familiar voice.
"Thanks," I say taking the mug from Brigid's cool hands.
"I'm fine, could be better. I wont be doing anything drastic to myself though, so you wont have to worry much about me."
"You really loved him, didn't you?" She asks me as she takes a seat on the edge of my bed.
"Yeah, I did. But now I realize once again why I don't exactly swoon over the idea of falling in love, it's just fun until someone cheats."
"Strong quote you used the other night, at Cyrah's reception. 'Love is like a board game, it's all fun until someone cheats'. Very interesting, if I do say."
I smile and glance up at Brigid, her gaze fixed on me. "Thanks, Brigibear."
"No problem, I'll be downstairs if you need me," she says, and scampers off out the door.
I lift myself from the now cold floor and wrap myself in the comforter of my bed. My arms squirm around the pillow and squish it between them like they are being squeezed by an octopuses tentacles. Before I make myself sleep, I murmur to myself: "another day, another fuck I never gave, another call I never received."
When I close my eyes, I am interrupted by my phone buzzing with the tune of 'Oh Glory', by Panic! At the Disco. I snatch it from my bedside table and shove it to the side of my face with a sharp, "Hello?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just trying to get some sleep, you?"
"Good, good. I was wondering if you wanted to come over, but I mean, if you want to rest it can-."
"Is he there?" I ask calmly, but with a vicious edginess to my tone.
"No, he's with Rachel. Come over, we'll eat ice cream and watch movies, none of the boys are here, they're all gone out to a pub tonight. Girly night, bring Brigid."
"Alright," I say as I throw off the comforter once again. "We'll be there in fifteen." I end the call and call out to Brigid downstairs to see if she will come over to Cyrah's with me, and she agrees. For some reason, she can't seem to leave Alice and Rosalie alone...at all.
I'll have to tell her about something tonight, and I'll have to think of a way to tell her quickly, before it's to late.
When Angel and Brigid arrive, Brigid goes straight for the girls and Angel stays with me. She's been keeping a lot to herself over the past few days, and she doesn't seem exactly herself. I bring her to the living room and we pick out the movie, 'Here comes the boom.'
Eventually, after the girls are put down, Brigid joins us and enjoys the rest of the movie. She gets to see the last forty minutes and Niall and the boys come home early. If Louis isn't with him, we'll be in luck.
"So then she came up to me and was like, "NO JIMMY PROTESTED!" Then I stood there, looked at her, and said, "It's old kid, move along." The laughs come from the hallway in a rhythmic tune, a happy tune. The boys come into the living room and Louis stops in his tracks. Harry pushes past him without hesitation and scowls.
Angel gets up from her seat and walks over to the door.
"Angel, wait," Louis pleads. "Angel!"
"Go fuck yourself Louis," Angel cusses. She opens the door then almost has her fingers jammed by it. Louis slams it before she can leave.
"Can you leave me the hell alone, Louis?"
"Angel, please, can I at least explain to you for once?"
"Why? You already did enough explaining when your whore came out of the fuckery with a god damn diamond on her fucking finger!"
"I never proposed to her, Angel. That wasn't a ring that claimed her by me, I only noticed it when you did. I got that girl talking and she admitted to being engaged to some other kid that-that,...."
"You can't even apologize enough, or make up a well enough lie to make me believe you, Louis."
I stand there, feeling like I would like to be beheaded there on the spot. Let Angel manage the gargantuan blade that would chop my head from my body.
"What?" Cyrah shrieks from behind me, I turn to see her and Brigid wide eyed along with the rest of the boys. What'd I miss?
"What?" I ask.
"I'm moving back to Newfoundland."
