Tears had started rolling down my cheeks. I jumped up and walked past my mom. I walked to the laundry room and slipped my hunting clothes into a bag. I walked back to my room and everyone eyes were still on me. I had begun to cry. I walked over to my closet and stuffed my weapons in the bag.
I turned back to my mom.
“I told you to never mention him again!” I screamed the crying getting worse.
“I’m leaving. I don’t know when I’ll be back. Maybe in a week, maybe a couple of days. If Carl shows up tell him what happened.” I said and jumped out the window and not looking back.
The world is becoming a nightmare! I ran into the woods and I kept running until I reached an old cabin. Daniel loved this place. He and I used to come here all the time together! I opened the door and set my stuff on the table.
“What is this place?” I heard Shane ask from behind me.
“Nothing. Why are you here?” I asked, not turning around.
“We are here because we are your team.” I heard Daryl say.
I turned around and sniffled.
“I’m not in a good mood right now! Please leave me alone!” I yelled at them.
They looked unmoved by my anger. They looked at me like I was an abandoned puppy!
“You can’t stay in this place Jack. It’s to beat up and what are you going to eat?” Shane asked.
I frowned at him. “I can hunt!” I yelled at him. Daryl picked me up and Shane grabbed my bag.
“You are not staying here. If you are staying anywhere it’s at our house.” Daryl said carrying me out the door.
“No! That house is the place of my nightmares! Literally!” I screamed punching Daryl.
“You know that I’m stronger than you.” Daryl said.
I started crying “I’m mad! Leave me alone!” I screamed through tears.
Daryl kept on carrying me until we reached their house.
“No! Don’t make me go in there!” I screamed.
“Would you knock it off? What if someone hears you and thinks we are kidnapping you!” Shane said.
I pouted. “You guys are so mean!” I yelled.
“No we are protective.” Daryl argued.
Shane went ahead of us and opened the door and walked in. Daryl walked through still carrying me.
“I hate you.” I growled.
“Which one of us?” Daryl asked with a smirk.
“Both of you!” I barked. Daryl laughed and set me on the couch.
“Want some cookies?” Shane asked.
I perked up at that question.
“Cookies?” I asked with excitement. Shan nodded with a grin.
“Knew that would perk you up.” He said handing me a big bag. I smirked.
“You know this won’t last me even ten minutes.” I said. He laughed.
“I know, it’s a good thing that Daryl can cook.” Shane said.
I raised an eyebrow at Daryl.
“You cook?” I said trying not to laugh.
“Cooking is a manly thing.” Daryl said holding his head up proudly.
I burst out laughing. “You know, we have some anime and manga.” Shane said.
I raised an eyebrow.
“Do you have One Piece? It’s my favorite.” I said taking a bite of a cookie. Shane nodded.
“We have both the anime and the manga of it which do you want?” He asked walking to a shelf.
“I’ve never seen the anime version of it.” I said.
Daryl came over and picked me up again.
“Hey! What now?” I asked punching his back.
Daryl carried me into another room. There was a couple bean bag chair in front of a huge TV. The ground by the bean bags was covered with DVD’s and manga. I saw a bunch of cookies in one of the chairs.
“Were you guys expecting my arrival?” I asked staring at the cookies. Shane grinned.
“We were going to invite you over later but..” Shane shrugged.
