. “Who’s room was I in?” I asked.
“That’s the room you will be staying in." Josh said with a grin.
I raised an eyebrow.
“You have nowhere to stay so my dad had us set up a room with your favorite stuff. I must say it looks a heck of a lot like my room.” He said smiling.
I laughed. “Guess we like the same stuff.” I said.
Josh pointed to the floor "what is that?” He asked.
I followed his gaze to a gun on the ground.
“Oops!” I said and picked it back up and slid it in my waist band.
“Why do you have a gun?” Josh asked.
“‘Cause I want to. Not like it’s loaded. But I do have the bullets in the pocket of my vest.” I said with a shrug.
Josh shook his head. “Do you even know how to shoot a gun?” He asked.
I glared at him. “No I just got the gun so I could use it to make candy!” I said with sarcasm and threw my arms in the air.
Josh put his hands up in defeat. “Sorry it was just a question.” He said.
I shook my head. “Do you shoot?” I asked.
He nodded. “I will be right back stay where you are.” I said.
Again he nodded. I ran upstairs and into the room that was mine. Where’s my camo coat? Oh! There it is. I spotted it on the chair by the desk. I grabbed it and pulled my gun out of the pocket. I put the gun in the other side of my waist band. I quickly ran back down stairs.
“Follow me.” I said and walked out the door.
I could hear him following behind me.I walked up the hill and found my old shooting spot. There were cans and bottles set up and ready to be shot. I turned around and nearly smacked into Josh. We were nose to nose. To close! I didn’t move, I didn’t want to. Don’t freak. Don’t Freak. Josh was staring into my eyes. I felt like he could see everything about me just by looking at me. He raised his hand and caressed my cheek. He leaned in and kissed me. He was soft at first but then he kissed me hungrily. I kissed him back the same. I love this guy! I heard a noise and quickly pulled away.
“Who’s the punk Brie?” I heard someone ask.
I looked around but didn’t see anyone.
“Who’s there?” I asked.
The person stepped out of the trees. Who is that? It was a boy with golden hair and grey eyes. He looked and smelled….. Good. Not the eating type but the dating type.
“Who are you and how do you know my name?” I asked the guy.
He stepped forward and took my hand. He kissed it and let it go.
“I’m sorry. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Andrew Collins. I know your name because I was assigned to protect you my dear.” Andrew said.
He’s really cute! And his voice is like silk!
“Who asked you to protect me?” I asked.
“Your mother.” Andrew said.
I gasped. “Why would my mom do that? I haven’t seen her in years!” I said taking a deep breath.
Andrew nodded knowingly.
“Yes I know. But your mother can see the future you know. She sees something epic and said I had to be here.” Andrew said.
I raised an eyebrow. “And that ‘tis?” I asked.
He shook his head. “I am not allowed to know. She simply said something would happen and I had to be here.” Andrew shrugged.
“Well I guess you will be hanging with our crew.” I said with a smile.
Andrew sent me a sweet smile back. I turned to Josh.
“Do you have a room he can borrow?” I asked him.
Josh tapped his chin thinking then snapped his fingers at an idea.
"He could stay in the attic.” He said.
I frowned. “That is no place for a human.” I said.
Andrew tapped my shoulder.
“But darling you see I am not a mere mortal I am an angel.” He said with a grin.
I gaped at him. An angel! No wonder he’s so gorgeous!
“Did you know your friends part demon?” Andrew asked. I nodded.
“I know that shape changers have demon in them.” I said. Andrew nodded.
“Ok. I will just stay in the attic.” He said. I smiled and grabbed his and Josh’s hand.
“Let’s go!” I said with a grin to both of them.
With that we were off.
