*A Week Later*
I walk into my house like I do every day after school. I skip the kitchen and go straight to the couch. Lying down and closing my eyes with a sigh. I feel Gryphon snuggle into my side. "Hi bubba," I try and say as cheerful as I can. But Gryphon knows I'm not happy and snuggles closer. I sigh, "Gryphon, it was terrible. A stupid, popular girl asked Tommy out. He said yes. All this time I thought he liked me," I feel a tear roll down my cheek. "Oh Gryphon, it's not fair."
Gryphon likes my hand.
I pat his head lightly, "Thanks for trying to cheer me up. I think I'll take a nap so my mind can rest. Think about going back to Slender's Park." Then I let sleep take over.
I walk into the living room as Rose ends talking to Gryphon. If only I had warned her that boys are stupid and can crush her heart. Sleep will help her ease her mind. She looks so at peace when she's asleep.
I walk over to her and kiss her forehead. Then I walk back to my computer room. An idea of how to make her happy on my mind.
Toby and I are eating dinner in his little dining room. "You alright Bubbles?"
I smile at Toby's cutesy name for me. "Yeah."
I look into his eyes. "No. No I'm not. I was stabbed in the heart today by my best friend."
"No, Tommy. He's dating now. I thought he would ask me," I sigh. "I thought he liked me."
Toby gives me a reassuring smile. "You know Bubbles, Friday night's forecast looks good."
I give him a 'really' look. "What? Toby, were you even listening to me?"
"Yes. Were you listening to me?"
"Yeah. But you're confusing."
He laughs, "Friday, I was thinking of taking you to try and see Slender again."
"Really," my faces lights up with a smile.
"Oh thank you so much."
"You're welcome Bubbles." We quickly finish up our dinner and then head to the living room.
"Now what?" I ask.
Toby walks over to the stereo, "Let's dance." He pushes a button and music starts. First up, 'Gimme That: Remix'. We dance to a lot of Toby's songs before going to bed.
Kristy and I are walking far ahead of Tommy and his new girlfriend. "Back to the park?" Kristy asks.
"Yeah. I can't wait."
"Toby driving you again?"
"Yeah. He'll do the same thing as last time."
"Cool. Oh, about you and Tommy."
"Is it obvious that I'm avoiding him?"
"A little. I don't blame you though. He's an idiot sometimes."
This chapter might seem a little random, but was needed for the story for something later on. Just wanted to say that.
