6. Back to the tower
I groaned as a loud voice woke me up. I lifted my head to see Evenia glaring at me.
"What do you want?" I asked tiredly.
"How do you break an engagement?" she snapped, annoyance clear on her face.
"You can't." I said "The only way to get out of an engagement is if one of the two parties die or if one of them abuses the other."
"Well then, Edward has to go." she said, starting to pace around the tower. Then she looked up at me with an evil smirk on her face "So I guess that I'll have to kill him then."
"You...you wouldn't hurt him for real!" I said desperately.
"Or would I?" she replied, her right hand going to her belt where I saw something I hadn't noticed before. A dagger.
What if she really did hurt Edward, or even kill him? What would be the point of continuing to live without him by my side? There would be no point, my mind supplied.
"Don't kill Edward please! Just...lock him up in some moldy cave or something but please don't kill him!" I begged.
"I'll think about it...maybe" she smirked again.
Seeing that I didn't reply, she smiled in satisfaction before walking towards the window.
"I have to go back to the castle or they will wonder where I am. I will come back this evening when I have more time for lessons." and she was gone.
