Everyone around us tries to split us up. Truth is, we always find each other. We're inseparable.

10. Chapter 9

*November 22, 2011 ~ 8:30 AM*
I felt someone shaking me. I groaned and rolled over.

?: Come on, Dawn. You can't stay asleep forever.

I flipped over and looked at him.

Me: It's not like I'm going anywhere.
Justin: Still.
Me: Let me have a lazy day.
Justin: You can have your lazy day in the living room.
Me: What's the point of that?

I rolled back onto my stomach, shoving my face into the pillow. I heard him sigh and felt the bed rise beneath me.

Justin: I'm gonna get breakfast. Come if you want to.

Then I heard the door shut. I flipped onto my back, looking up at the ceiling. Just then, my phone rang. I took it off the charger and answered.

Me: Hello?
?: Where are you?

I groaned. Stupid Ava calling me again.

Me: What the hell do you want?
Ava: Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Me: Cause you're wasting my time. What. Do. You. Want?
Ava: I want to know where you are so we could hang out.
Me: What makes you think I'd want to hang out with you?
Ava: Sorry, jeez. Just asked.

I threw the covers off of me and got out of the bed.

Me: Why should I tell you where I am stalker?
Ava: I'm not a stalker.
Me: That's what every creeper says.
Ava: Whatever. Where are you?
Me: Why do you care?
Ava: Just asking.
Me: With Justin.

She groaned.

Ava: Ugh! Why are you always with him? And why do you always defend him?

Justin's POV

I walked down the hall to my bedroom. I was going to ask her what she wanted to eat. I knocked on the door, but no answer. I opened the door and saw her on the phone, her back facing me. Her fists were clenched and she held the phone in her hand as if to break it in half.

Dawn: You want to know why I'm always with Justin? You want to know why I defend him when bitches like you talk bad about him?!

I'm guessing she's talking to Ava. She held her phone out in front of her face.

She hung up and slammed the phone onto the dresser. My eyes went wide at what she said. She...she's in love with me?

Normal POV

I groaned in frustration as I punched the wall, making a dent in it. How I so wish that was her. I turned around and saw...Justin. My cheeks went red as I twirled the ends of my hair around my index finger.

Me: Um...d-did you h-hear any of that?

I looked down at my feet, avoiding his eyes.

Justin: No.

I looked up at him.

Me: Oh.
Justin: Um...what do to eat? I mean, we can go out or...
Me: What part of 'lazy day' did you not understand?
Justin: I guess I'll make pancakes.

With that, he walked out. I closed the door behind him, sliding down the door. If only he knew how makes me feel.

Justin's POV

I couldn't stop it from ringing in my head. Because I'm in love with him. Because I'm in love with him. Because I'm in love with him. Did she mean it or was she just pissed off she blurted something out? I sighed and walked into the living room, seeing Jazzy on the couch. She ran up to me, hugging my leg.

Jazzy: Bieber!

She calls me that, since she can't pronounce my name right. I picked her up, setting her on my hip.

Me: Hey, princess.
Jazzy: Where's Sewena?
Me: She couldn't come.
Jazzy: Why not?
Me: Cause Selena and Bieber have been fighting.
Jazzy: Why?

For a four year old, she asks a lot of questions. How can you tell your four year old sister you split up with someone you used to have feelings for?

Me: It's complicated, Jazzy.

I put her down.

?: Who's the little one?

I turned around, seeing Dawn in sweats and a T-shirt. She walked towards me, putting her hair up in a ponytail. Note to self, stop checking her out.

Me: She's my little sister.

She knelt down to Jazzy's height.

Dawn: She's adorable.

I looked at Jazzy, her hiding behind my legs. I chuckled and picked her up.

Me: Jazzy, this is Dawn.
Jazzy: Is she your giwlfwend?
Me: No she's just a friend.
Jazzy: She's pwetty.

I looked at Dawn who was now in front of me. She pinched Jazzy's cheeks.

Dawn: So are you.

Jazzy hid her face in my shoulder.

Me: Go find daddy, okay? Dawn and I have to talk.

She nodded.

Me: Can I get a kiss?

She kissed my cheek as I put her down. She ran out of the living room, trying to find my dad. I looked at Dawn.

Dawn: She's adorable.
Me: It runs in the family.

She rolled her eyes.

Dawn: Cocky much?
Me: Occasionally.

She rolled her eyes and walked past me, plopping down on the couch.

Me: I'll start breakfast. You can watch TV if you want.

She nodded and turned the TV on. I chuckled and shook my head, walking into the kitchen. This girl drives me crazy.

Normal POV

When he disappeared into the kitchen, I got up, running to the guest room. I grabbed my guitar and notebook, running back to the living room. As SpongeBob showed on the TV, I started playing my guitar. I began playing the new song I wrong called Beautiful, singing along.

Hello, I know it's been a while, I wonder where you are and if you think of me
Sometimes cause you're always on my mind, you know I had it rough, tryin' to forget you but
The more that I look around, the more I realize you're all I looking for

What makes you so beautiful is you don't know how beautiful you are to me
You're not tryna be perfect, nobody's perfect, but you are to me
It's how you take my breath away, feel the words that I don't say
I wish somehow I could say them now, oh, I could say them now, yeah

?: A new song?

I jumped a little, putting the guitar and notebook down. I shot up from the couch, turning around to see Justin leaning on the wall. I nervously tucked a loose strand behind my ear as I tried to avoid his eyes.

Me: Um...I...uh...

I hit the wall not noticing I was backing up. I didn't know he was walking towards me until I saw his brown eyes boring into mine. His hands gripped my waist as his breath hit my lips.

Justin: Do I make you nervous?

I gulped. He started leaning in when I pushed him away, running towards the guest room. When I was in, I locked the door behind me and curled up into a ball in the corner farthest from the door. Tears ran down my face, a flashback popping up.

I sat down on the couch, sighing.

?: What's up, sexy?

I turned, seeing Dante, Ariana's older brother, sitting next to me.

Me: Don't talk to me.

He scooted closer to me, making me feel uncomfortable.

Dante: Feisty. Even better.

His hand slid onto my thigh up my leg, making me jump.

Me: I have to go.

Before I could even run to the door, he grabbed me by my wrist, spinning me around and pinning me to the wall.

Dante: Come on, baby. We were just getting started.

I pushed him away, but he pushed me back.

Dante: Stay.

I groaned and pushed him. He pushed me again.

Dante: You're staying and that's final.

I pushed him as hard as I could, but he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me up the stairs. I kicked, trying to get out of his grip.

Me: Let me go, you sick bastard!

When we got to his room, he backhanded me in the face and threw me on the bed. I tried to get up, but he pushed me back down, hovering over me. His eyes went dark as he smirked evilly. I gulped.

Dante: Let's have some fun, shall we?

His hands went to my waist, tugging on my jeans. I kneed him in the gut and pushed him off of me. I ran out of the  room, grabbing my phone and dialing 911.

Operator: 911 emergency.
Me: I'm alone in a friend's house and her older brother's here and...
Operator: Slow down, miss. What happened?

I heard a gun cock and froze.

Dante: Drop the phone.
Operator: Police will arrive in ten.

I nodded and hung up, putting my phone in my pocket.  I felt cold metal against the side of my head as he wrapped an arm around my waist.

Dante: Good girl.
End of Flashback

I shut my eyes tight, trying to hold in the tears. Fail. They kept falling, whimpers escaping my lips. I pulled my legs up to my chest, wishing I never experienced that in the first place.

Justin's POV

I unlocked the guest room door and opened it, seeing Dawn in the corner of the room with her knees pulled up to her chest. She looked up at me, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Me: Why did you run like that?

She didn't answer. I walked towards her as she kept backing up against the wall. I reached out a hand towards her. Her eyes showed...fear. But why? I never did anything to hurt her.

Me: It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you.

She hesitated before taking my hand, giving me the ability to pull her up from off the floor. When she got up, she almost fell, so I reacted quickly by catching her in my arms before she fell to the floor.

Me: You okay?

She looked into my eyes. The fear washed away and I saw something else. I couldn't figure out what it was, though. It seemed to me like she was hiding something from me.

Me: What's wrong?
Dawn: The...the reason why I ran out like that was because...

She took a deep breath before continuing.

Dawn: I had a flashback and the way you had me up against the wall just...

She lowered her head. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her into a hug. She hesitated before wrapping her arms around me.

Me: I didn't mean to scare you. I just...
Dawn: Your hormones took over. I understand.

It's like she's been through this before. I looked down at her.

Me: Do you want to talk about the flashback?

She shook her head.

Me: Can we eat, then?

She poked my stomach and looked up at me.

Dawn: Fatty.
Me: I'm not fat.
Dawn: I know but you act like you are.

She pulled out of my arms and walked past me.

Me: You're okay now, right?
Dawn: Yeah.

I smiled as she walked out of the room.
