I jumped out of the bed, running to the bathroom. I slammed the door shut and vomited into the toilet. Ohm great, just great. Now I'm sick. I wanted to go to the beach with Justin, but I guess not. As I kept up chucking the contents in my stomach, I started feeling dizzy. Before I could get up, I fell to the floor, blacking out.
I woke up to the sound of a door slam. I groaned, sitting up. I looked beside me, noticing Dawn was no longer sleeping next to me. Then I heard a thud. I got out of bed, walking towards the bathroom. I knocked on the door.
Me: Dawn, are you in there?
No answer. I sighed, opening the door. I saw her passed out on the floor with the toilet seat up. Oh, gross. I flushed the toilet and grabbed a paper towel. I put a little water on it and wiped her mouth. I don't care if she's passed out. She's my sick girlfriend. I threw out the paper towel and washed my hands. After drying them, I picked her up bridal style and carried her into the bedroom. Lying her down on the bed, her mother walked in.
Avery: Dawn, I'm...what's going on?
Me: She threw up in the bathroom and passed out afterwards.
Avery: Aw, my poor baby.
She walked towards us, putting her hand on Dawn's forehead.
Avery: She's burning up.
She looked at me.
Avery: I have to work today. Can you take care of her?
Me: Yes, ma'am.
Avery: There's Pepto Bismol in the medicine cabinet in her bathroom and there's soup downstairs in the pantry. If she passes put again, put a hot wet towel on her forehead.
Me: Thanks for informing me.
Avery: You're welcome. Call me if she gets worse.
Justin: Yes, ma'am.
She walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. I covered Dawn with the comforter, kissing her forehead. I smiled, got up from the bed and walked out to get medicine and a garbage can.
I woke up, looking around to see I was in my room. I groaned, sitting up when Justin ran towards me.
Justin: It's okay, baby. Lay back down.
Without opposing, I laid back down in my bed.
Me: You shouldn't be here, Justin. You could get sick.
Justin: I don't care. I'd rather take care of you than worry about you.
Me: Go home.
Justin: I'm staying.
Me: I can take care of myself.
Justin: You're sick. I'll take care of you.
Justin: Quit being so stubborn and let me take care of you.
I pouted, crossing my arms over my chest.
Me: Fine, Mr. Eagerpants.
He chuckled, kissing my forehead.
Justin: Take the medicine while I go find a thermometer.
Me: Only because I want you to leave.
Justin: You're so mean.
Me: Shouldn't you be looking for the thermometer.
He narrowed his eyes at me as he got up from beside me.
Justin: If you weren't sick, you would so get it.
I scoffed as he walked out of the room. See what I deal with?
He wrapped his arms around me, kissing my cheek as I drank my tea.
Justin: You got better pretty fast.
I looked up at him.
Me: I don't stay sick for days, you know.
I looked back at the blank TV.
Me: Except for that one time.
Me: In sixth grade, I had pneumonia for two weeks.
Justin: Who took care of you?
Me: My mom and my grandparents.
Justin: How bad was it?
Me: I tried to walked and I fell. Thank God I didn't have to go to the hospital.
He kissed my cheek again, nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck,
Justin: I'm glad you're better.
He placed a gentle kiss on my neck, his hot breath sending chills down my spine. I put my mug down, finishing my tea.
Justin: Do you need anything else?
He kissed my neck again.
Justin: You sure?
He kissed my neck one more time before lying back on the couch. I followed suit and laid down with him, my head on his chest.
Me: When do you have tour?
Justin: Not until September, but I will have a promo tour.
Justin: I'm not sure yet.
I nodded, taking his hand in mine.
Justin: I love you so much.
I looked up at him.
Me: I love you, too.
He smiled, leaned down and captured my lips in his.
