Everyone around us tries to split us up. Truth is, we always find each other. We're inseparable.

50. Chapter 47

April 28, 2012
10:15 AM
I trudged down the stairs in my shorts, sneakers, and tank top. My hair was in a ponytail. I walked into the kitchen, seeing my mom making breakfast.

Me: Morning, mom.
Mom: Morning, sweetie.

I wrapped my arms around her, my head on her shoulder.

Mom: Where's Justin?
Me: He went to change.

She nodded as I let go of her. I sat down at the table when the door opened. I looked up and saw Justin, holding his guitar. I rose an eyebrow as he walked into the kitchen.

Justin: Morning, baby.

He pecked my lips as he sat down next to me.

Me: What's with the guitar?
Justin: It's a surprise.

I rolled my eyes.

Me: You and your surprises. And shouldn't you be working on Boyfriend?
Justin: I finished yesterday. I just have to finish Believe.

I nodded. My mom put a plate of food in front of me and Justin.

Mom: Casey's coming over in a few.

I nodded.

Mom: Justin, you're gonna have to go home so she can focus.
Justin: I have something to do anyways.
Mom: Okay.

She grabbed her jacket off the chair.

Mom: I'm going to work.
Me: Okay.
Mom: I won't be home until later, so make dinner around five.
Me: Okay.

She kissed my cheek as she walked out the back door.

Me: So what did you mean by that?
Justin: I'm planning something for both of us later.
Me: Let me guess: another surprise?
Justin: Yep.

I rolled my eyes, shaking my head.

Me: Why do you always do this?
Justin: Because I love you.
Me: Uh huh. Sure.
Justin: You don't believe me?
Me: Nope.

He put his hands on my waist and picked me up, putting me on his lap. He pressed his lips to mine, letting them linger there for a second before pulling away.

Justin: Do you believe me now?
Me: Maybe.

I grabbed a strip of bacon, taking a bite. He took the other end in his mouth and took a bite as well. Eventually our lips met, making me smile. Just then, the doorbell rang. I got off his lap and headed to the front door. When I opened it, there stood my tutor, Casey.

Me: Hey, Casey.
Casey: Hey.

I felt Justin's arms wrap around my waist.

Justin: I'll see you in a few hours, okay?

I nodded as he kissed my cheek. He let go of me and walked past us, walking out the door.

Casey: So what do we start on?
Me: Pre-Calculus.
Casey: Okay. For science, we'll go in the backyard.
Me: Sounds good to me.
Casey: Great, then let's get started.

After three long hours of tutoring, Justin came back. He told me he wanted to take me somewhere, but he never said where. Now, we're in the car, listening to the radio. No one has said a word ever since we left my house, giving me time to think. We've been together for four months and it feels like we're drifting apart. Why? Is this what normally happens in a relationship? Is it normal to feel this way?

Justin: We're here.

He parked the car, turning it off. I took off my seat belt and got out without another word. I closed the door, shoving my hands into my pockets. I kept my head low, walking beside Justin.

Justin: You okay?

I sighed, resting ,my head on his shoulder. He wrapped an arm around me, kissing my forehead.

Justin: You don't have to tell me if you don't want to.

I nodded as we continued walking. We stopped on the cliff by the beach. We sat down on a picnic blanket, looking over the scenery. He grabbed his guitar and sat it in his lap.

Justin: I wrote a song for you when I was touring South America.
Me: Really?
Justin: Yeah.

I smiled as he began strumming.

As long as you love me
We're under pressure, seven billion people in the world trying to fit in
Keep it together, smile on your face even though your heart is frowning
But hey now, you know, girl, we both know it's a cruel world
But I will take my chances

As long as you love me, we could be starving
We could be homeless, we could be broke
As long as you love me, I'll be your platinum
I'll be your silver, and I'll be your gold
As long as you lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love me
As long as you lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love me, love me

I'll be your soldier, fighting every second of the day for your dreams, girl
I'll be your Hova, you could be my Destiny's Child on the scene girl
Don't stress, don't cry, we don't need no wings to fly
Just take my hand

As long as you love me, we could be starving
We could be homeless, we could be broke
As long as you love me, I'll be your platinum
I'll be your silver, and I'll be your gold
As long as you lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love me
As long as you lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love me, love me

I don't know if this makes sense, but you're my hallelujah
Give me a time and place, I'll rendezvous it, I'll fly you to it,
I'll beat you there, girl you know I got you
Us, trust, a couple of things I can't spell without 'U'
Now we on top of the world, 'cause that's just how we do
Used to tell me, "Sky's the limit", now the sky's our point of view
Man now we stepping out like, "Whoa"
Cameras point and shoot, ask me what's my best side
I stand back and point at you, you, you
The one that I argue with, feel like I need a new girl to be bothered with
But the grass ain't always greener on the other side,
It's green where you water it, so I know we got issues baby
True, true, true, but I'd rather work on this with you
Than to go ahead and start with someone new as long as you love me

We could be starving, we could be homeless, we could be broke
As long as you love me, I'll be your platinum,
I'll be your silver, I'll be your gold
As long as you lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love me
As long as you lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-love me

As long as you love, you love me, you love me
As long as you love, you love me, you love me
As long as you love me, yeah

He stopped strumming, smiling at me. I smiled back, embracing him in a hug.

Justin: How was it?

I pulled away, kissing him. He smiled, kissing back. I pulled away, smiling at him.

Me: I love it.

He smiled, putting down his guitar. He pulled me onto his lap, kissing me. I smiled, kissing back. I rested my hands on his cheeks as he pulled me closer to him. Before things got heated, we pulled away, our foreheads touching.

Justin: I love you.
Me: I love you, too.

I pecked his lips, getting off his lap.

Me: So what else have you planned.

He pulled out a picnic basket.

Justin: Un pique-nique pour deux, ma dame. (A picnic for two, my lady)

I bit my lip, blushing. I love it when he speaks French. He smiled, kissing my cheek.

Justin: You're so cute.
Me: Shut up!
Justin: So are we gonna eat or what?

I poked his stomach. He cringed.

Justin: Boyfriend abuse!
Me: Oh, calm down. I just poked you.

He chuckled, wrapping his arms around me.

Justin: I'm just messing with you, babe.

I playfully hit his chest. He kissed my cheek, opening the picnic basket.

Flashes of light blinded me as Justin and I walked out of the building for The Voice. Cameras and tape recorders were shoved in our faces as Kenny tried to push them away.

"Justin, who is she!"
"Aren't you and Selena still together?"
"When is your next album coming out?"

Finally, we got past paparazzi and into Justin's Range Rover that Kenny was driving. Beeping the horn, Kenny drove out of the crowd without running anyone over.

Me: I was scared for a second.
Justin: Why?

I looked at him.

Me: I could have lost you.

He signed, cupping my cheeks in his hands.

Justin: You won't lose me. Ever.

He gently kissed my lips, letting them linger there for a moment. He pulled away, wrapping his arms around my waist.

Kenny: Where to now?
Justin: The Staples Center.

My eyes brows furrowed. I looked up at him.

Me: Why are we going to the Staples Center?
Justin: You said you liked basketball, right?

Then it clicked. I pulled away from him, staring at him.

Me: We're going to a basketball game?!

He chuckled, nodding his head. I smiled.

Justin: Wha-

I cut him off, kissing him. He smiled, pulling me onto his lap as he kissed back. My hands remained on his cheeks as I was now straddling him. His hands went inside my back pockets as we continued kissing. My head hit his when the car came to an abrupt halt.

Me: Ow!

I put my hand on my head.

Justin: You're telling me. Damn, you have one hard head.
Kenny: That's what you two get for kissing in the backseat.
Justin: Shut it, Kenny.

I got off of him, sitting next to him.

Kenny: Anyways, we're here.

Justin grabbed my hand and opened his door, pulling me with him.

Justin: Thanks, Kenny. I'll call you when we're ready.

Kenny saluted, driving off. I rolled my eyes as Justin and I walked towards the stadium. Since no one was here and the game doesn't started at ten thirty, we were at the front of the line. Justin took the tickets out of his pocket and handed them to the ticket lady. She nodded, handing them to us.

Lady: Have a nice night.
Justin: You, too.

We walked into the stadium, hand in hand. We saw some of the players from the Lakers and the Spurs team. Kobe Bryant walked towards us.

Kobe: Hey, Justin.
Justin: Sup, man?
Kobe: Here for the came tonight?
Justin: Yup, me and my girl.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, smiling at at me. Kobe looked at me, then at Justin.

Kobe: I thought...
Justin: Selena and I are over.

He nodded, looking back at me.

Kobe: Well, it's nice to meet you. I'm Kobe.
Me: Dawn.
Kobe: Enjoy the game, you two.

Justin nodded as Kobe walked away. We started walking around when I stopped him.

Me: How do you know Kobe?
Justin: Trust me, it's a long story.

After walking some more, we finally found our section. When we sat down in our seats, I realized we were so close to the court.

Me: I've never had seats this close before.
Justin: Really?
Me: Yeah. My cousin and I would end up with nosebleed seats or seats in the middle.
Justin: I bet that sucked.
Me: It did. What was even worse was that some fat guy farted and our whole section smelled like rotten eggs and dead fish.

He began to laugh as I hit him in the chest. He coughed, putting a hand on his chest.

Justin: Ow.
Me: That's what you get for laughing at me.

He pushed me, making me fall out of my seat. I gaped at him and put a hand on my chest.

Me: How dare you hit a girl.
Justin: I didn't hit you. I pushed you. There's a difference.

I stood up and ruffled up his hair. His mouth gaped open as I pulled away, smirking.

Justin: Oh, that's it.

Once he got up, I ran out of our section and towards the hallway. He chased after me until he caught up to me. He wrapped his arms around me, spinning me around.

Me: Justin, stop!

He put me down, pinning me to the wall. He stared into my eyes, looking into the depths of my soul. As I opened my mouth to speak, he covered it with his, kissing me with passion. I kissed back, my hands on his cheeks as he pulled me closer to him. Before anything else could happen, the doors began to open. We pulled away, walking back to our seats as more people walked in.

It's halftime and I'm bored. I love basketball and all, but the game's really boring, considering the Spurs are winning. My team is Miami Heat, but since Justin's a Lakers fan and this is Los Angeles, I might as well go to a game with my boyfriend. I looked over at him. He seemed bored, too. I don't blame him. It's not interesting if it's not a good game. The Spurs are smashing the Lakers and it gets boring if the losing team refuses to fight back.

"Alright, the Kiss Cam is coming around, looking for couples all over the stadium."

I smirked. It's funny yet embarrassing at the same time. What if it came across two people who don't know each other? What if it comes across a fighting couple? I rolled my eyes, thinking about it.

Justin: Babe, look.

I looked up, seeing we were on the Kiss Cam. I bit my lip, smiling as I looked at Justin. He shrugged.

Justin: Eh, so what?

He leaned over, smiling at me. I smiled back before we leaned in and kissed.

"There it is."

My cheeks turned red as I pulled away, hiding my face in his shoulder. He chuckled, kissing my cheek. When I moved my head, the camera was in another direction. Justin got up, pulling down his shirt. I rolled my eyes standing up and pulling his jeans up.

Justin: I'm getting nachos. You want anything?
Me: A funnel cake.
Justin: Sure.

He pecked my lips before walking off. As I sat back down, a little girl ran towards me. I smiled, leaning forward.

Me: Hi.
Girl: Hi. Was Justin here a minute ago?
Me: Yeah. I'm his girlfriend.
Girl: You're pretty.
Me: Thanks you and so are you.

Her cheeks turned pink, making me chuckle.

Me: How about you sit with me until Justin gets back?

She smiled, sitting on my lap. I chuckled and talked to her while waiting for Justin to return.

Justin's POV

When I came back, I saw a little girl sitting on Dawn's lap. I smiled, walking towards them. I sat down in my seat, holding the food in my lap. The little girl waved at me.

Girl: Hi, Justin!

I chuckled.

Me: Hi. What's your name?
Girl: Rachel.
Me: Pretty name.

Her cheeks turned pink. I saw a man looking around.

Man: Rachel.
Rachel: Daddy!

She got off of Dawn's lap and ran towards the man. He caught her in his arms, looking at us.

Man: Thank you.
Dawn: No problem.

I smiled, kissing her cheek. She took the funnel cake and started eating it as the second half began.
