Mom: Come on, Justin. We still have to get Dawn.
I shoved my phone in my pocket as I grabbed my suitcase. We're going to be in New York for two weeks. For the first week, I'll be recording a little bit and the week after that I'm supposed to be meeting a girl by the name of Avalanna. She's a fan of mine who has a disease, but I haven't learned about it yet. When I find out, then I'll be able to know what it is and if she's going to live long or not.
I walked down the stairs with my suitcase in my hand and my backpack on my back. I met Kenny and my mother at the bottom, handing Kenny my suitcase.
Mom: Do you want to call Dawn to let her know you're coming?
I took my phone out, unlocking it.
Hey, I just met you and this is crazy
But here's my number so call me maybe
I answered my phone, packing my suitcase.
?: Hey, baby.
Justin: You ready? We're about to head over now.
Me: Just about.
Justin: Okay. Be there in ten.
Justin: Love you.
Me: Love you, too.
He hung up as soon as I zipped up my suitcase. I shoved my phone into my pocket as I threw my backpack over my shoulder. I grabbed my suitcase and headed downstairs.
I'm excited about going to New York. I get to see Justin work in the studio again, since the last time Scooter banned me from the studio. I won't distract Justin, though. I'll be doing online school work and writing some more. I might even rehearse a few songs, especially the one I wrote for Justin. Other than that, I'll be in my own little world.
I put my suitcase down once I got to the bottom of then staircase. I walked into the kitchen, my mom handing me a plate with an omelet and two strips of bacon on it. I took it and sat down at the table.
Mom: Do you have everything packed?
Mom: When is Justin coming to get you?
Me: He said in ten minutes.
She nodded as we sat at the table eating breakfast.
After eating, I put my plate in the sink. As I was washing my hands in the sink, two arms wrapped around my waist, lifting me up off the ground. The person spun me around in the air, making me shriek a little. The person put me down, turning me around to face them. I came face to face with my boyfriend, making me smile.
He leaned in for a kiss when I pushed him away.
Me: Morning breath.
Me: Justin, that's nasty.
He rolled his eyes, sighing.
Justin: Fine. But hurry up.
I rolled my eyes, walking past him. I walked up the stairs and headed for the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth and ran my fingers through my hair. I trudged back down the stairs, meeting Justin at the bottom. He gently pinned me to the wall with his hands on my waist.
Justin: Now where's my kiss?
I bit my lip.
Me: You're so greedy.
Justin: No. I loved you.
I rolled my eyes. He leaned in, kissing me softly. I kissed back, my hands resting on his cheeks. He slightly deepened the kiss as he pulled my body closer to his.
?: You have the whole flight, you know.
We pulled away, smiling at each other. I walked past him, heading over to my mom.
Mom: Two weeks tops, right?
Mom: I don't want you...
Me: I know, I know. We won't do that.
She gave me a hug.
Mom: Call me when you get there.
Me: I will.
She let go of me, handing me my backpack.
Mom: I'll see you in two weeks.
I nodded. Justin took my hand in his, intertwining our fingers. With that, we walked out of my house towards the limousine. We got in, Scooter and Pattie sitting on the other side. Once we were in, the driver closed the door, got in the driver's seat, and began driving.
Scooter: Kenny will meet us at the airport.
Scooter: So the first week, Justin will be working on his album in the studio. The second week, you two can spend all day together every day. Well, except on Valentine's Day because Justin has to meet someone.
Pattie: No distractions.
Me: I have things to do for school, anyways.
Scooter: Good, then Justin won't become that distracted.
Me: He doesn't need to be distracted.
I gave Justin a look.
Scooter: Oh, and Carly Rae is going to meet us there to check out the studio.
Justin nodded. Looks like I'll be meeting some people.
I plummeted onto the bed, hiding my face in the pillow. I heard Justin chuckle at my behavior.
Justin: Are you tired?
I flipped over onto my back, my eyes on the ceiling.
Me: No. I just wanted to do that.
He chuckled again as I felt the bed lower beneath me.
Justin: Have you had anyone say anything to you?
I looked at him.
Me: No, why?
Justin: Just wondering.
I looked back at the ceiling.
Justin: How about we take a walk around Time Square?
I looked at him, sitting up on the bed.
Me: Do you want to get caught by paparazzi?
Justin: We won't. I promise.
Me: Promises can be broken, Justin.
Justin: But I plan on keeping that a promise.
Me: Fine. But only because I don't have anything else to do.
He smiled, taking my hand in his.
Justin: Let's go before it gets dark.
I nodded, getting up from the bed.
As Dawn and I walked around Time Square, I could tell she was growing paranoid. I noticed she kept looking left and right over and over again. I grabbed her hand, squeezing it. She looked up at me.
Me: You don't have to be so paranoid.
Dawn: But what of anyone sees us?
Me: They won't.
We came across a bench and sat down on it.
Dawn: Justin, if your fans can spot you from a thousand miles away, then someone can spot us almost instantly.
Me: If someone does see us, then we'll go back before things could get any worse.
She sighed, looking down at her feet.
Me: You need to relax, okay?
She rested her head on my shoulder.
Dawn: I'll try.
I intertwined our fingers, resting out tied hands on my lap.
Justin: I wanted to ask you something.
Me: What is it?
Justin: Are you going to college after you graduate?
I looked up at him, furrowing my eyebrows.
Me: No, why?
He just looked at the setting sun. I sat up straight, looking at him.
Me: Justin, what does that have to do with-
Justin: I want you to move in with me after high school.
I stood up, confusion washing over my face.
He got up from the bench, taking my hands in his.
Justin: I want you to move in with me after you graduate.
Me: Isn't it a little early to talk about this?
Justin: Yeah, but I brought it up so you could have time to think about it.
I let my hands slip from his as I sat back down on the bench.
Me: But what if my dad is released from prison and tries to keep me away from you?
He sat down next to me, taking my hands in his once again.
Justin: If that happens, I will fight to keep you in my arms. Like I said before, I refuse to let you go, no matter what happens.
One of his hands rested on my cheek, caressing it softly. I took that hand in mine, removing it from my cheek.
Justin: So are you planning on going to your prom?
I shrugged, removing my hands from his.
Me: I mean, I was asked, but I turned him down.
Me: I can't go to prom with another guy. Besides, most couples at prom...you know, and I can't do that with a guy I don't love.
Justin: So...you're not going to prom?
Me: I'd only go if my boyfriend was my date.
He coughed, pointing at himself. I face palmed.
Me: Duh. I have a boyfriend.
Justin: And I could be your date if you wanted me to.
Me: That's if you're not working.
Justin: What day is it?
Me: The twelfth of May.
Justin: When's graduation?
Me: A week after that.
Justin: I should be done with the album by then.
I nodded, getting up.
Me: Can we walk around once more before we head back?
He got up, taking my hand in his as we started walking.
He wrapped his arms around my waist as we just lay in bed, looking at each other.
Me: So tomorrow while you're recording, I guess I'll be doing school work.
Justin: Unless if you want to talk to Carly when she gets there.
Me: Maybe. I still have work to do.
Justin: I know, but you have two weeks,
Me: Yeah, and then we go back to LA.
Justin: At least we get to spend next weeks together.
He kissed my forehead, turning off the side lamp.
With that, we went out like flames.
