I woke up to sunlight shining in my eyes. I sat up, stretching while looking down at my adorable boyfriend. I smiled, slowly getting out of bed. I want to make him breakfast this morning. Hell, I want to make breakfast for everyone. Well, for one, Justin did a great job last night; two, his father was really nice letting me be here with him; three, I'm in a really good mood.
I changed into some sweats and a tank top. I put my hair in a messy bun and sprayed some Someday on. I walked out of the room and down the stairs.
I woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon filling my nose. I smiled, getting out of bed. I looked to my right, seeing...no one. Is she making breakfast? I got out of bed, stretching. I ran my fingers through my hair, looking in the mirror. I grabbed a T-shirt from my dresser, putting it on. I looked in the mirror again. Eh, works for me. I walked out of the room and down the stairs.
When I got downstairs, I heard singing from the kitchen.
Drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rain
Kiss me on the sidewalk, take away the pain
Cause I see sparks fly whenever you smile
Get me with those brown eyes, baby, as the lights go down
Give me something that'll haunt me when you're not around
Cause I see sparks fly whenever you smile
I walked into the kitchen, seeing Dawn making breakfast. I smiled and quietly walked behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist.
Me: Morning, baby.
I kissed her shoulder, resting my chin on it.
Me: Morning, Justin.
Justin: I never knew you cooked.
Me: I learned from my aunt.
I put down the spatula, turning around to face him.
Me: So what do you want to do today?
He put his hands on my hips, picking me up and sitting me on the counter. He stood in between my legs, holding my waist.
Justin: I know how to start off our day.
I wrapped my arms around his neck.
Me: How so?
He smiled, leaning up and kissing me. I smiles, kissing back. He pulled my body closer to his, deepening the kiss. I felt his hand slid up my side, pulling on the bottom of my shirt.
?: Hey! Not in the kitchen!
We pulled away, me jumping off the counter as Jeremy walked towards us.
Jeremy: Get a room next time.
I rolled my eyes and went back to making breakfast.
I sat down st the table as my dad sat across from me. Jazzy came running into the kitchen, running over to Dawn. She grabbed a hold of her leg.
I chuckled. She really likes her. Dawn looked down at her.
Dawn: Jazzy, I'm making breakfast. Go sit with Justin.
Jazzy: But I don't want to.
Erin walked in holding Jaxon.
Erin: Dawn, I'll finish breakfast. You can go sit by Justin.
Dawn: Are you sure?
Erin put Jaxon in his seat, walking over to the stove. Dawn handed her the spatula, picking Jazzy up and walking towards me. She sat in the seat next to me with Jazzy in her lap.
Dawn: How'd you sleep?
Dawn: No nightmares, right?
Jazzy shook her head. I smiled. Dawn would be a great mother one day.
She got off my lap, sitting in her seat next to me.
Jeremy: So Dawn, how did you and Justin meet?
Me: In Hawaii. I was with my friend Tori for vacation and I saw him at the same shack we were sitting at. Long story short, I fell and he somewhat helped me up.
I looked at Justin. He was playing on his phone.
Jeremy: Well, I'm glad he met you and introduced you to us.
Erin: Otherwise, we wouldn't know how to get Jazzy to go to sleep.
She put down plates of food in front of us.
Erin: So how do you like Canada?
Me: No offense or anything, but LA's better.
Erin: Probably because of the warm weather, right?
Me: That and I was born there.
She nodded, sitting down in front of us.
Erin: Justin, put your phone away.
Justin: One sec.
I rolled my eyes and took his phone from his hand.
Me: You'll get it back when we finish eating.
He pouted, making me cross my arms over my chest.
Me: Wipe that look off your face or you won't get a kiss later.
He stopped pouting, looking down at his hands.
Jeremy: We need her around here more often.
I smiled. I'm really glad his dad doesn't hate me.
I laid down on the bed, my eyes on the ceiling.
Justin: What do you want to do today?
Me: Christmas shopping.
I looked at him.
Justin: Who do you have to get gifts for?
Me: Jazzy, Jaxon, Pattie, Jeremy, Erin, and you. I got my mom something while we were in New York.
Justin: You don't have to get anything for me.
I turned my body, which was now facing him.
Me: Yes I do.
Justin: No you don't.
He put a hand on my cheek.
Justin: Cause I already got what I wanted: You.
I gave him a small smile as he gently kissed my lips.
Justin: Well, if you want to go get some gifts, then we can go.
I sat up, running my fingers through my hair.
Me: I mean, we don't have to. We have nine days.
Justin: Yeah, but you know how crazy people can get during this time of year.
Justin: Besides, it's only for five people.
Me: Yeah, and? You have no idea how long it takes me to find the perfect gift.
Justin: It doesn't have to b perfect. It's what comes from the heart that matters.
I bit my lip.
Justin: Come on. It's only eleven in the morning.
He got up from the bed, extending his hand out towards me. I hesitated before taking his hand and getting up. He grabbed his hoodie, handing it to me. I took the hoodie from him and put it on. It was big on me, but I didn't mind. The sleeves went just a little over my arms. Nothing I couldn't handle. I rolled up the sleeves a little, looking up at Justin. He smiled, cupping my face in his hands.
Justin: You're even cuter in my hoodie.
My cheeks grew hot as I looked down at my feet. I felt his hand under my chin, lifting my head up so I would look into his warm, brown eyes. He leaned in, pressing his lips to mine. He let his lips linger there for a moment, then pulled away, grabbing my hand.
Justin: Let's go.
I nodded as he pulled me out of the room.
