18. Chapter 17

*December 15, 2011 ~ 9:45 AM*
I woke up to the sound of a heartbeat beating in my ears. I sat up and stretched, seeing Justin sleeping next to me. I chuckled, kissing his cheek. His eyes opened and he looked up at me, smiling.

Justin: You know, you don't have to kiss my cheek just to wake me up.
Me: Morning breath.

He nodded, pulling me on top of him. I smiled, biting my lip as I looked him in the eyes. He ran his tongue over his lips as he looked at me.

Justin: You're sexy.

I straddled him, my hands resting on his stomach.

Me: Someone woke up on the horny side of the bed.

He rolled his eyes, his hands gripping my waist.

Me: So what are we gonna do for the day?
Justin: I was thinking we could go out for breakfast this morning. Just you and me. Then I have to rehearse for tonight.

I lowered my head.

Me: Oh.
Justin: It's okay, though, cause you're coming with me.

I looked at him, smiling.

Me: You always want me with you, don't you?
Justin: Why wouldn't I? You're my girlfriend, after all.
Me: Still.

He put a hand on my check, caressing it with his thumb.

Justin: You're so beautiful.

I smiled, pressing my lips to his. He kissed back, his arms wrapping around my waist. I pulled away, getting off of him.

Me: I'm gonna take a shower.

He sat up, resting on his forearms.

Justin: Meet me downstairs?

I nodded, pecking his lips.

Justin: Love you.
Me: Same here.

I grabbed an outfit and walked into the bathroom.

Justin's POV

She's something, I tell ya. She makes me so happy. She's the reason I get up in the morning. She's the reason why I smile. If she wasn't mine, I'd try my hardest every day to get her to be mine.

I got out of bed, grabbing some clothes and walking out of the room.

~

Trudging down the stairs, I put my denim jacket on, adjusting the gray beanie on my head. I saw my mom and Avery sitting on the couch.

Me: Morning mom, morning Avery.
Mom: Morning, Justin.
Avery: Where's Dawn?
Me: Getting ready.

She nodded as I looked at the stairs, waiting for my beautiful girlfriend.

Normal POV

I walked down the stairs in gray sweats, a black tee, black Supras, and my black leather jacket. I have two: one for normal days, one for when shit's about to go down. My hair was down, straight as it could possibly get. The cross necklace Justin gave me exactly a month ago was still around my neck. The only time I took it off was when I took a shower. Other than that, I always wore it.

I met Justin at the bottom of the staircase, brushing my bangs out of my face.

Justin: Ready?
Me: Yep.

He took my hand in his, intertwining our fingers.

Justin: We're going to Tim Horton's for breakfast.
Pattie: Okay. Remember to pack when you two get back.
Justin: We will.
Mom: Enjoy yourselves.
Me: How could we not?

I looked up at Justin. He smiled down at me, kissing my cheek.

Mom: Alright, love birds. Get moving.

I rolled my eyes as we walked out of the house. Justin closed the door behind us as we walked towards his Range Rover.

~

We sat down at a table in the back corner farthest from the window.

Justin: How'd you sleep last night?
Me: Better than before. No nightmares.
Justin: Good.

He took my hand in his, rubbing the top of it with his thumb.

Me: So tonight.
Justin: What about it?
Me: How are we gonna do the whole couple thing when your fans are gonna be there and there's a chance paparazzi could pop up our of nowhere?
Justin: I assure you it's gonna be okay. If we have to act like friends, then we act like friends. No big deal.

I sighed.

Me: I just don't want to be separated from you.
Justin: You won't be. I won't allow it.

I lowered my head, looking at our hands.

Justin: Dawn, look at me.

I didn't look at him.

Justin: Dawn, please. Just look at me.

I looked up at him. His hand rested on my cheek.

Justin: You won't be separated from me. Ever.
Me: But...

He leaned in, pressing his lips to mine. He pulled away before I had the chance to kiss back.

Justin: I love you. If my fans find out, let them. The real ones will understand. I don't care what crazy rumors paparazzi come up with. I refuse to let anything or anyone hurt you.
Me: Promise?
Justin: Promise.

I smiled, pecking his lips gently. The waitress came over to us.

Waitress: Hello, I'm Tiffany and I'll be your server today. Anything for you two to drink?
Me: I'll have a Mixed Berry Real Fruit Smoothie.

She wrote that down on her pad, looking at Justin.

Tiffany: And for you?
Justin: An Iced Mocha Latte, please.

She wrote that down as well.

Tiffany: Alright. I'll be back with your drinks and to take your order.

We nodded as she walked off.

Me: Does everyone act normal in Canada whenever you visit?
Justin: Yeah. Well, except the really crazy fans of mine.

I nodded, taking my phone out of my pocket. I saw a tweet appear on the screen. It was from Selena, saying:

selenagomez: @dawn_official you better stay away from Justin, slutty bitch.

I rolled my eyes.

Justin: What?

I showed Justin my phone. He read the tweet, raising an eyebrow.

Me: She's pathetic.
Justin: I'll say.

I pulled my phone out of his face, replying to her stupid tweet.

dawn_official: @selenagomez if you broke up with him, then why are you acting so clingy to him, psychopath?

That oughta shut her up. I put my phone back in my pocket as Tiffany came back with our drinks.

Tiffany: You guys ready to order?

We both nodded.

Justin: I'll have a breakfast wrap.
Tiffany: Sausage or bacon?
Justin: Sausage.

She wrote that down.

Tiffany: And for the lady?
Me: Same, just bacon instead.

She nodded, writing it down then taking the menus.

Tiffany: I'll be back with your orders.

With that, she walked off. I grabbed my beverage, taking a sip.

Justin: How is it?

I put down the smoothie.

Me: It's really good.
Justin: I'm glad you like it.

I smiled, taking another sip of the smoothie.

Justin's POV

I'm a little ticked off Selena said that to her. She has no right to call my girlfriend a slut. No right whatsoever. But I won't let something like that come between us. Not everyone's gonna like her, like my mom said. Dawn seems to deal with the hate from others well. She either ignores them or hurts them. It's not a good thing for her to beat up on people whenever they talk bad about her. Sure, it's self-defense, but she could still end up getting hurt like last time. I don't want her in the hospital again. I'd rather have her ignore those jealous girls and keep going.

Tiffany came back with our breakfast wraps. She set the plate in the middle of the table.

Tiffany: If you need anything else, I'm here.

I nodded as she walked away. I looked at Dawn. She was halfway done with her smoothie when she looked at me.

Me: You really enjoyed that, didn't you?

She nodded.

Dawn: It's really good.
Me: I can tell.

She rolled her eyes.

Me: You wanna say grace or do you want me to?

She nodded at me. We lowered our heads and prayed.

~

Normal POV

We sat down on the bench in the park. He sat his guitar on his lap.

Justin: Can I sing to you?
Me: Sure.

He began strumming. After a while, I recognized the song.

Baby I will not pout, baby I will not cry cause I got your love this Christmas time
When the snow's on the ground and it's freezing outside, I got your love this Christmas

On every list I've ever sent, you're the gift I'd love the best
So deck the halls and all the rest, warm me up with your Christmas love

Hey angel in the snow, I'm under the mistletoe
You are the one, you're my very own Christmas love
Tell Santa I'm cool this year, my present is standing right here
Thank God above for my very own Christmas love, yeah

Like a beautiful tree, you can light up the room, your kinda star, can't be removed
Like a beautiful carol, I get lost in your song and I will forever sing along

On every list I've ever sent, you're the gift I'd love the best
So deck the halls and all the rest, you warm me up with your Christmas love

Hey angel in the snow, I'm under the mistletoe
You are the one, you're my very own Christmas love
Tell Santa I'm cool this year, my present is standing right here
Thank God above for my very own Christmas love

All the lovers around the world, let me sing you Merry Merry Christmas
Merry Merry Christmas
And every boy and every girl, stay close to the ones you love and thank God above
That you got someone this year that can fill your heart with cheer

Hey angel in the snow, I'm under the mistletoe
You are the one, you're my very own Christmas love
Tell Santa I'm cool this year, my present is standing right here
Thank God above for my very own Christmas love

Hey angel in the snow, I'm under the mistletoe
You are the one, you're my very own Christmas love
Tell Santa I'm cool this year, my present is standing right here
Thank God above for my very own Christmas love

For my very own Christmas love
For my very own Christmas love

He stopped strumming his guitar, looking at me.

Justin: How was that?
Me: Amazing.

He smiled, putting his guitar down. He wrapped his arms around my waist.

Justin: I thought of you when I wrote it.

I wrapped my arms around his neck.

Me: Really?
Justin: Yeah.
Me: No wonder why I love that song.

He smiled, his forehead against mine.

Justin: I love you.
Me: You said that to me for the third time today.
Justin: Cause it's the truth.
Me: I know, but...

He cut me off by pressing his lips to mine, then pulling away quickly.

Justin: You talk too much.

He kissed me again, pulling my body closer to his. I kissed back, my hands on the back of his neck. He gently bit my bottom lip, begging for entrance. I smirked and let him in. We continued kissing passionately until I heard his phone go off. He pulled away, pecking my lips before reaching for his phone. Taking it our of his pocket, he bit his lip while putting his phone back.

Me: What's wrong?
Justin: I have to go to rehearsal now.

I frowned.

Justin: Why are you frowning when you're coming with me?
Me: Cause I'll have nothing to do.
Justin: You can bring your iPad and write a new song on there.
Me: I can't write another song when you're rehearsing. That's rude.
Justin: Do you have a piano app?
Me: Yeah.
Justin: Do you have headphones?
Me: Yeah.
Justin: There you go. While I'm rehearsing, you can write a new song.

I bit my lip, thinking about it.

Me: Well, we gotta go back to the house if I'm gonna write another song.

He smiled, pecking my lips.

Justin: That's my girl.

I rolled my eyes, getting off the bench.

Me: Come on before you're late.

He nodded, grabbing my hand and the neck of his guitar.
