It took us a while to get back because...well...I kept picking her up, spinning her around in the misty air, and kissing her. I love her so much. I'm so glad I was finally able to tell her.
We walked through the front door, still hand in hand. I looked at her, noticing she was freezing. I let go of her hand, wrapping my arms around her.
Me: Go dry off. I'll make you some hot chocolate.
She nodded in my shoulder. I let her go as she walked past me, heading up the stairs. When she disappeared, I walked into the kitchen, looking for hot chocolate and some soup.
I stepped out of the shower, drying myself off with a towel. I needed a hot shower. After drying myself off, I changed into my pajamas and brushed out my hair. I braided it to the side, looking at myself in the mirror. A bruise formed on the side of my face where the guy hit me. I sighed and walked out of the bathroom, not caring if the side of my face was all bruised up. Bruises heal.
I walked down the stairs, meeting Justin at the bottom.
Justin. I made you some soup.
Me: Justin, I'm not sick. I don't get sick that easily.
Justin: I know, but still.
We walked into the kitchen, his arm wrapped around my waist. I sat down at the table as he sat next to me. I grabbed the mug on the table, putting it to my lips. I took a sip and put it back down.
Justin: Too hot?
Me: No. I just don't drink it all at one time.
Justin: Are you gonna eat your soup?
Me: Why would I eat it if I'm not even sick?
He grabbed a hold of the bottom of the chair, pulling it closer to him.
Justin: Cause I made it for you.
Me: Not a good excuse.
He rolled his eyes.
Justin: You're really complicated.
Me: That's just who I am. Deal with it.
He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
Justin: But I like it when you're complicated. It makes you more mysterious.
I wrapped my arms around his neck.
Me: Really? What made me mysterious before?
He rested his forehead against mine.
Justin: Your eyes.
Me: What about my eyes?
Justin: Whenever I look into your eyes, I get lost in them. They're dark and mysterious, making me want to know what you're hiding.
Me: Never thought you'd see that.
Justin: What can I say? I notice everything about you.
Justin: I'm glad you're mine now.
Me: Same here.
He smiled and pressed his lips to mine. We both pulled away.
Justin: Come on, just eat.
I rolled my eyes and started eating the soup he made.
I twisted a loose strand of her hair around my finger as we watched Taken together on the couch. My mom and grandparents haven't come back yet. Neither has Avery. I looked at Dawn. He head rested on my chest as she stared at the TV.
Me: So...when are we gonna go on our first date?
She looked up at me.
Dawn: Whenever you want to.
Me: After Massey Hall tomorrow?
Dawn: How about when we get to Miami?
Me: That's a while from now.
She bit her lip, looking back at the TV.
Me: I'll think of something.
I kissed her forehead, wrapping my arms around her waist. The movie ended as the door opened. We both looked at the door, seeing my mom and Avery walk in.
Mom: Hey, guys.
Me: Hey, mom.
She noticed my arms were wrapped around Dawn's waist. Avery saw, too.
Avery: You two?
I looked at Dawn as she looked at me.
Dawn: Should we tell them?
Me: I will.
She smiled, kissing my cheek. I looked up at our mothers.
Me: We're together.
I shut my eyes tight, not wanting them to yell at us.
I opened my eyes, looking at Pattie and my mom as I sat up in Justin's lap.
Me: You're not mad?
Mom: Why would I be mad? He's a really great guy.
I looked up at Justin, putting a hand on his cheek.
Mom: As long as he doesn't break your heart.
Justin wrapped his arms tighter around my waist, looking into my eyes.
Justin: I don't plan on it.
I smiled, our noses gently touching.
Pattie: If you two are gonna kiss, take it upstairs.
Justin looked at his mom.
Me: She's right, Justin.
He looked at me. I bit my lip and poked his cheek.
Me: We need our privacy.
He smiled. I got off of him as he got up off the couch.
Mom: Just don't come back down with a baby.
Mom: Just saying.
I rolled my eyes and walked upstairs, Justin following behind.
We sat down on the bed.
Dawn: So what's planned for tomorrow?
Me: Well, I have Massey Hall to perform at and we'll be going to my dad's. I mean, it's about ten days until Christmas, so maybe I can slip in a date for us.
I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her onto my lap. She wrapped her arms around my neck.
Dawn: Well, whenever you can slip in a date, surprise me.
I smiled, our foreheads touching.
Me: I love you.
Dawn: I love you, too.
We both leaned in until our lips met. I love her so much.
As we kissed, I could feel myself falling backwards. Our lips parted as my back hit the bed. He hovered over me, looking into my eyes.
Justin: I should have asked you to be mine months ago.
I wrapped my arms around his neck.
Me: I could have said no.
Justin: I'd still fight for you until you became my girl.
He got off of me as I sat up. He wrapped his arms around my waist as I rested my back against his chest.
Justin: We could have kept kissing, you know.
Me: Then again, we don't want things to get too heated.
I looked up at him.
Me: So we're gonna see your brother and sister again tomorrow?
Justin: After Massey Hall, yeah.
There was a silence between us. Not an awkward silence, but a peaceful one. I thought about our somewhat secret relationship and if it will last or not. What if Scooter finds out and forbade Justin to see me again? What if paparazzi find out and make it public? What if his fans find out and they hate me?
Justin: Yeah, baby.
I smiled at what he called me, but then it quickly faded.
Me: Do you think we're doing the right thing?
I looked down at her, surprised at what she said.
Me: What do you mean?
She got out of my arms, sitting next to me.
Dawn: I mean, are we doing the right thing by being together?
Me: Are you saying you regret becoming my girlfriend?
Dawn: No, I'm not saying that.
Me: What are you saying, then?
Dawn: I'm afraid.
Me: Of what?
Dawn: What if Scooter finds out and he doesn't let you see me again? What if paparazzi catch us and start rumors about us? What if your fans find out and they start hating me?
She lowered her head. She really is scared. I could tell in her voice she didn't want anything to come between us. I took her hand in mine, intertwining our fingers.
Me: Look at me.
She looked up at me, tears filling her eyes.
Me: First off, don't cry. Second, I won't let us be separated. I promise you that.
She lowered her head again, looking down at our hands.
Me: Dawn, I just got you and I'm not losing you just because my manager won't let me be with you. I could care less what everyone else says about this relationship.
I put my hand under her chin, lifting her head up so she would look me in the eyes.
Me: I love you. And I'd do anything just to have you safe in my arms.
She gave me a small smile, wrapping her arms around my torso. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her closer to me.
Me: No one will ever take you from me.
She nodded, kissing my cheek.
Me: You missed.
I flipped her body over, hovering over her. She playfully hit my chest.
Dawn: Don't do that!
Me: Kiss my lips next time and I won't.
She rolled her eyes, wrapping her arms around my neck.
Me: Love you.
Dawn: Love you, too.
As I leaned in to kiss her, there was a knock on the door.
Mom: Dinner's ready.
I got off of her, grabbing her hand and pulling her up.
Justin: Let's go before we get yelled at for making out.
She chuckled lightly. I smiled, resting my forehead against hers.
Me: You have a cute laugh.
Her cheeks turned red. I pecked her lips, getting off the bed.
Dawn: Stop making me blush.
Me: It's not my fault you're cute in everything you do.
Her cheeks turned even redder than before.
Dawn: Shut up!
I chuckled at the way she was acting.
Me: Come on.
She got up from the bed, taking my hand. I kissed her temple as we walked out of the room.
