After Fred left for Hogwarts it was just Mr. and Mrs. Weasley and I. Although Mr. Weasley was gone for work more often than not. I actually wasn't that surprised, but what actually surprised me was that Mrs. Weasley was used to and okay with being left here alone. But she did say that having me around was a pleasant change.
Fred sent me letters all the time by owl and I read and responded to each one:
I miss you so much, but I wish you could just come to Hogwarts. Then I'd have the two best things in the world with me. Oh well, I hope Mother hasn't buried you in stories of naughty young me. Well, here at Hogwarts we just found out that we are hosting two other schools for the Triwizard Tournament. Don't worry I can't enter such a dangerous event. The ministry got involved and no one under seventeen can enter. I guess I'll find something else exciting here, after all, it's Hogwarts! Also, we found out that we will be having a Yule Ball with students from all three schools. You know, I should ask Dumbledore if you can come, hmm, I wonder. Oh, sorry. I feel like I'm actually at home with you hearing your replies, but it's all in my head. Ginny and Hermione both say hello.
I miss you too and it does feel like we are here at home together, talking face to face. You are anticipating my answers correctly though. But that's just you, reading my mind, as usual. Why is the Triwizard Tournament so dangerous? And who is Dumbledore? Fred, you don't have to ask if I can come. And if you want it's fine for you to go with someone else, we aren't officially together.
Amaris, a future Weasley
That hurt, but it does remind me. Will you be my girlfriend? And that way I do have to ask. Ha! Amaris, I don't want to take anyone else. You are the best thing in the world, remember? I'm going to ask Dumbledore, the headmaster, tomorrow if you can come to the Yule Ball. It won't hurt, as far as I know. Kidding! Dumbledore wouldn't hurt anyone, except a Death Eater and You-Know-Who. But that's irrelevant. How's life with my parents?
Laughter and Love,
P.S. Of course you are a future Weasley. You're mine! Ha ha.
Of course I'll be your girlfriend, I did tell you I love you, didn't I? Ha ha. I remember you saying that, I can't wait to hear it in person, but I suppose I'll have to wait a while for that. Ah well. Your parents are wonderful. They already treat me like I'm their daughter. It's like they're predicting our futures, cough cough. He he. You didn't tell me, though, why the Triwizard Tournament was so dangerous. How is everyone?
Misses and Kisses,
Amaris, Fred Weasley's girl
Misses and Kisses? Really? Girls, I guess. Whatever. The Triwizard Tournament, it's hard to explain. How about I explain in person in a few days? He he. Everyone is good. Although I don't think I know who everyone is. Kidding! I know what you mean. Hermione and Ginny are excited to see you, as are Ron and Harry. We all miss you, especially me and George. Well, that's probably because you're our age, not the rest of our lot. Ask my mother what you wear to a Yule Ball, she'll know what to do.
Fred Weasley, a scheming fiend
Dumbledore said I could come?! I can't believe this. Your mother and I are going dress shopping tomorrow. I can't wait to see you! But I will be sad when I have to leave. Oh well, a little goes a long way. Except in love. Okay.
A Muggle Off to Hogwarts,
That was a short letter, but that's okay I guess. You had dress shopping to do. Well, Dumbledore found something out about you that I don't think any of us knew. He'll tell you when you get here, so I can't say anything. I can't wait for you to get here. My mother will have you pack more than what seems necessary, but just go with it. Just leave it be and be happy to come to Hogwarts. So many things are waiting for you here.
