Angel was sitting next to me on the couch.
I had let Angel stay at my house for a while now, and I had to gather the courage to ask her something.
There’s no possible way she would say no right?
It’s only been a few days since I kissed her.
It was a reflex, as if it was something I had to do.
Sometimes during the tour I had to put on a smile, even though I was really thinking about Angel.
“Jack, you ready for Better Call Saul tonight.”
“I don’t know it’s getting kind of boring.”
“That’s only because you didn’t watch the last three episodes,”she chuckled.
“Come on, I’m making brownies.”
“Only if I get the bowl-”
She went back to working on her laptop.
“You know Alex’s wedding is coming up.”
“I want you to be my date.”
“Of Course I will.”
“Who’s the lovely bride?”
“Lisa,” I said.
“I don’t know why you're so mad, she’s changed.”
“I know Jack, it’s just that I never thought it would be her.”
Alex and Lisa had said their vows, and kissed.
It was official, Alex was a husband.
I was so happy for him that I cried.
I think Jack had noticed, because he held me tight around my waist.
Lisa threw her flowers in the air, aiming for me to catch it.
Unfortunately it landed in another girl's lap.
It was still okay though because I wasn’t really planning to get married.
At least not right now.
Alex tapped on my shoulder.
“So far, yes.”
“So, are you and Jack serious?”
“I wouldn’t necessarily call it that-”
“Really, cause that’s not what he told me.”
I looked at him, giggling from afar.
“Angel, I don’t think you understand. Jack loves you. I haven’t seen him so starstruck over a girl. I’ll admit, I was a little jealous. Jack never wanted to settle down until you came.”
“Okay Alex I get it,”
“The truth is, I love him too. I was so scared that I wouldn’t see him again.”
“Tell him that,” Alex said.
He kissed me on the cheek and left.
We all had cake, and Jack had obviously got it on his tux.
I took a napkin and wiped it off.
“It’s okay, we can get it cleaned,”I laughed.
We had talked to Zack, and Rian about what they were doing lately, and took pictures in a photobooth.
The fun had to come to an end, and Lisa and Alex left.
I had taken off my heels, and Jack had removed his tie.
We had both slow danced, and I swore it was the greatest night of my life.
“This is why I love you.”
“Oh, I thought it was just because I was handsome.”
“Shut up and kiss me.”
And with that, Jack Barakat had kissed me once again.
