I woke up next to nothing, with my legs taking up the bed.
Today was my last day being in Baltimore. Well at least for a couple of months.
I hopped into the shower and washed off.
I was ready to have the best time. Me and Hayden had decided to go to the mall, and hang out at her house. I had to also pack everything and bring it to her house. Hayden decided she would let me stay over when I came back.
When we went to the mall, we decide to get something to eat at the food court.
Hayden had begged me to tell her what had happened between me and Jack.
I told her that everything worked out.
“Come on, there has to be more.”
“What about Alex?”she asked me.
“What about him? It’s over Hayden.”
I had put my head down.
“I messed everything up. Things aren't the same.”
“I wish that things weren't so complicated. I wish I could start all over.”
“-It’s not over,” she interrupted.
“It’s his loss,” Hayden said.
“You’ll live, you just gotta loosen up a little.”
We were sitting on the couch at Hayden’s house.
“Sorry,” she replied.
Hayden was finished trimming my nails.
I was in full relaxation, and my face smelled like avocados.
Hayden was in a robe, and she had on a charcoal face mask.
“Are you and Jack a thing?”
“Yeah…” I trailed on.
“Oh shit!” I yelled.
“I don't know what I’m gonna wear tonight.”
“Girl, I got you covered.”
Hayden had made the last coat, and stood up to go pick out something.
I saw her phone light up and the contact had a heart next to it.
“Oh um just someone.”
“No, not anyone, are you two dating.”
“Oh my god that’s so nice.”
“I know, he finally got a piece of this.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Oh I don’t know, it’s nothing personal.”
Hayden had started to do my makeup, but I zoned out.
I was so caught up that I didn’t realize she already had someone that was better than me.
“Angel, hello, go put this on.”
I changed into this beige jean jacket, a colorful skirt, and a white shirt.
“Hurry up, I wanna see how you look.”
“I’m coming,” I yelled.
I stepped out of the bathroom.
“Oh my god you look so cute!”
She crashed into my arms.
“Jack’s going to love you.”
