Their World in my Hands

My choices can change the lives of the ones I love, the ones I hate and the ones I don't know. I am a witch, an undetectable. It's all new to me, I could lead us to greatness or to devastation and I'm not ready for the power, but I have to be. Everyone's relying on me, I have their world in my hands and I cannot let them down...

30. Piles of Food

I was in shock, my father? The one who watched me obsess over Harry Potter without saying anything? The one who worked all day? The one who is married to a woman who hates everything to do with magic?

"Grace! You didn't tell me your dad was a wizard!" Said Rose as she leant across the table from where she was sat with Lily, "Grace, Grace, can you hear me?"

The golden coated plants piled with food and the goblets in front of me magically filled with pumpkin juice. I felt as if the world around me was going in slow motion. Everything I know about my father is a lie...

"Grace... Are you feeling ok?" Came a voice from my right. With everything I've been worrying about in my new life, I always thought my family would be safe...

The magical wand... Draco's warning... The teacher's conversations in The Three Broomsticks... Hannah Abbott... and now my Father...

And the Prophecy.. The is something different about me... Different to everyone else... My sister... I can't bring her into this world...

I felt a pair of hands grab me before the world went black...

I woke with Albus leaning over me, prodding at me check. "Oh God Grace, You're awake. Rose is back up in your new room, she was too tired to stay up, I'm only allowed to stay here because I'm Harry Potter's son."

"Wait what?" I said sitting up. I was in the hospital wing with the curtains drawn around my bed. The was still a small portion of light streaming through the light blue bunches of fabric, telling me that it it wasn't that late. There was blue patterned office chair in the corner, opposite a wooden bed rest. My witches hat was rested upon the table and my along with a plate of different foods. There was roast chicken, roast beef, pork chops, steak, boiled potatoes, roast vegetables, rice pudding, strawberries, trifle and doughnuts.

"Woah Albus! You think I eat that much?" I said, he laughed "Nah, I didn't know what you wanted, So I got everything I could see"

Now I was awake, the new matron, madam Pullen, didn't care where I went. I took a strawberry from the plate and followed Albus out of the large oak double doors.

I tried to remember the way to the common room but failed. There were three consecutive lefts then a right, we walked down a long hallway and I forgot the rest.

The Griffindor common room is full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board where school notices, ads and lost posters, were posted. A window looked out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace dominates one wall. The walls were decorated with scarlet tapestries that depict witches and wizards, but also various animals. The room made me feel safe. Despite all my worries, I felt at home.

There was no one in the room except Albus and I. "Your dormitory will be up there," he said "I would show you to your room but I can't." "Yeah, yeah I know I said before running up the stairs to the left."
