It was Monday once again and we were all getting ready to go to school. Jared, Nath, Ax and I had managed to map out some of the visions and what we managed was some sort of war we had to fight.
I knew we had to fight a war, but seriously, why couldn't it come so easy, like not whilst I'm having super headaches and stupid visions?
"Richer." I heard Aaron call me. "Do you have sports class today?"
"Yeah." I replied. "Why?"
"Just wondering." Aaron replied.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and decided not to read his mind, I wasn't going to pry information that I wasn't supposed to know.
"Something wrong Princess?" Ax questioned as he approached me.
"Maybe." I replied." Aaron just questioned me if I had sports today."
"Why?" Jared questioned.
"I have no idea." I replied. "And no, I did not read his mind because I won't pry on other's people mind."
"Oh but I will." Jared said and left.
Ax messed with my hair and we walked out the flat towards the school. We did not take the bus, we rather walk as it only was a five minute walk.
Nath, Ax, Jared, Keon and I always walked together and now that we had this new 'friends' they walked a few steps behind us.
"So it's true that you have sports today right Richer." Carter spoke.
"What with that?" Jared and I snapped back.
"Cause I have too, and as far as I understood neither of the guys had sports with you, so you were alone and vulnerable there." Carter replied.
I furrowed my eyebrows and turned to Nath. "So he's like supposed to take care of me as well?"
"Apparently." Nath replied taking my hand. "Just make sure no one's trying to pry into her mind." He told Carter.
"Of course." Carter replied.
I still didn't trust Carter as much as people would wish that I would, but there was something that didn't quite make sense with him, I sensed some dark thoughts on his mind, but I wasn't sure what they were and how to pry into them.
We all entered the school and headed to our different classes, Nath and I made our way together to our biology class, we had al of our classes together, except for sports.
"Is there something wrong?" Nath questioned.
"Yes." I replied. "How do you read dark thoughts?"
"What?" Nath furrowed his eyebrows. "What are you talking about Richer?"
"I sensed some dark thoughts on Carter." I replied. "I want to know how to read them."
"I don't think it is a good idea sweetie." Nath smiled down at me. "Believe me. It isn't a good idea."
I rolled my eyes and made my way towards my usual seat. If he didn't want to help me fine, I would get Mr. Stalin to help me find out why Carter had dark thoughts.
The rest of the school day went without any further things, nothing happened and I highly doubted something was going to happen.
I said my goodbye to Ax and made my way to the gym, we were just going to have a pep-talk today as the sun was to high and they didn't want us to get dehydrated.
I made my way to the shadow, when I felt someone next to me, I turned to my right and Carter was there.
"Hello Richer." Carter said.
"Hi." I replied.
"How was your day?" Carter questioned.
"Uneventful." I replied. "Yours?"
"Same here." Carter replied.
None of us dared to speak again. We did sit next to each other, and I decided to make use of my power and find out what the hell was he hiding.
I focused on his mind, and tried to make sure that I was not being so obvious so he wouldn't feel it. I managed to enter to his mind, and it was so organised that it even gave me creeps. I moved around and I sensed the dark thoughts to my left, as I moved towards them, pain radiated into my skull.
I unfocused of his mind and pressed both my hands to my head. Someone was trying to get inside me.
"Carter." I said through gritted teeth. "Carter." I spoked again and when I turned to see, he was gone.
I blinked in surprise and got up and ran out of the gym, where the fuck is he?
"NATHAN!" I shouted. "AX! JARED! KEON!"
I needed someone. I threw myself to the floor, landing on my knees, the pain is too much.
"RICHER?!" I heard Nathan and Keon shout.
I heard their footsteps get closer, but before they could speak to me, I was far to gone in the darkness...
