"Hey, Zoe!" My best friend Caitlyn greeted me.
I smiled and mumbled a 'hey' as I went to my locker to get my books for my next class, history.
"I've been thinking," Caitlyn began, "today after school, you should come to my house so we can study for our geometry text on Thursday!"
"I'd love to, but I can't. We have guests coming over for dinner tonight and my parents said I can't have anyone over, and I can't go to anybody's house tonight. Trust me. I've already asked." I sighed.
Caitlyn nodded. "I understand," she said. "Maybe another time! Well, I've gotta go to geometry!! See ya!"
I walked into history class right as the bell rang. I smiled when my favorite teacher, Mr. Bishop walked to the front of the classroom.
"Hello, everybody! I trust you all have had a great day," the class groaned, but he went on anyway. "We have been learning a lot about Canada these past few months, so we are going to put all of that learning aside and take a trip to Canada!!"
My smile grew larger as he handed each of us a booklet with a Canadian flag on it.
"We will be spending two weeks in Montreal and be learning a bit about their culture. Because we will be going out of the country, you will all need to bring your birth certificate and passport. Here is the paper that both you and your parents need to sign," He said handing us a purple piece of paper. "We will be leaving in a month, so please don't wait until the last possible second go get this sheet signed."
We spent the rest of the hour talking about the trip.
