“That's the first time i've had to use my dagger.” she said. “Are you okay El?” She stepped towards me. I stepped back, and she noticed.
“Please don't be afraid of me. I'm here to protect you, not hurt you.” she said coming closer. I stood my ground. I just witnessed her almost kill four guys.
“Just give me a minute.” I said trying to catch my breath. Reyna walked over to each guy inspecting each of them. When she reached the last guy, the guy who was hit by the dagger, she sighed with relief.
“I thought they were dead. Especially this guy. I got lucky that he didn't get hit in his heart, I got his shoulder.” she said as she took out the knife. The blood oozed out of the wound, and i vomited at my feet.
“I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that in front of you.” she said wiping the blade on the guy's shirt. She started ripping up the front into strips.
“What are you doing now?” I asked.
“I don't want him to die. I can't have that hanging over my head. I'll at least to this so i can't sasy i did nothing to save his life.” she said as she wrapped the wound. I was shocked.
“You did that to him. You saw what they were doing to me. Why do you want him alive?” I blurted and then regretted.
She turned to me and smiled. “I'm not the type of person who thinks others deserve to die like that. If you die, then you die. But these men need to die knowing they have done some good in life, and that they didn't waste their life like this.” she said as she finished the bond. She turned to me and smiled again.
“But there is one condition I made that means i will kill. If that person is threatening or insulting my family or friends. I will punish them bad, or kill them to protect.” she said walking to me. I swatted it away.
“What are you doing?”
“Examining you. Making sure you're okay so the others won't worry.” she said. She reached in her pocket and grabbed her iPod. She turned on the flash and looked at each of my eyes.
“No brain damage. That;s good.” she said.
“Where did you learn this?”
“My sister is a doctor. She's going to be a pediatrician, so she has to know a lot.” she explained. She did a few more tests.
“Let's go to the washroom. We'll clean you up and then you can see Louis.” she said.
“Yeah. Let's go.” A gust of wind blew and i shivered. She opened the door and followed me in. We pushed passed everyone and walked into the washroom. She locked the door. Luckily there was nobody there. I looked in the mirror and saw how much of a mess i was. There was blood spattered on my top and neck, and my make- up was smudged.
“How am i supposed to clean this?” I whined. Rey put her bag on the counter and started looking through it. She pulled out something and handed it to me, Tide- to- Go.
“My make up-” I started, but she already took out make- up remover and face wipes. She smiled. “I think ahead.” she said. She helped me clean up.
“Shit. I think i smudged.” i said. My white shirt now had an orange stain in the shoulders.
“I was hoping it would work. Okay then, take this.” she said grabbing a fancy white tank top from her bag and giving it to me. As I put it on, she shrugged off her cardigan and wrapped it around me.
“Thanks.” i said. I re- applied my make-up, while she hand washed my shirt and used a hand dryer to dry it. I then realized that she was a pretty bad ass bodyguard. She was the perfect bodyguard for us. Always prepared and very protective. Maybe my first impressions of her were wrong. This will definitely be a fun tour with her.
