“You’re awake!” Harry exclaimed as he took my hand and kissed it. He pressed my palm to his cheek and felt the warmth from my hand. Jeremy looked like he was going to cry.
“Oh thank god!” he cried as he hugged me.
“What happened to me?” I asked as I tried to sit up. Harry pushed my shoulders back onto the bed.
“Two days ago, you were shot.” Jeremy explained. He looked like he was in pain when he said that. I didn’t react, something in me wouldn’t let me believe it. I took my hospital gown at the bottom and began to lift it up. The boys started to look uncomfortable.
“Do you mind if you guys turn around?” I asked before I pulled it over my panties. They nodded and faced the walls. I brought the bottom of my gown up to the bottom of my boobs. There I started to see tape. I lifted a bit higher, the gauze covered my left breast but it was showing that I was shot. My hands move to the gauze to take it off. I slowly peeled it and the sight underneath brought me to shock. A small circular hole was on my chest, along with an incision indicating that I had surgery. I pressed it back down and pulled the gown down.
“I’m sorry.” I sobbed. They both turned around.
“What? Why are you sorry?” Jeremy asked surprised.
“I let you guys down. I’m going to be a dead weight from here on in.” I said.
“No! Rey please don’t say that. You didn’t let anyone down, you saved my life.” Harry said tearing up. I sat up and touched his cheek.
“Harry, please don’t cry.” I said to him. He looked down, and his tears fell on my legs.
“It’s my fault. If I didn’t anger that guy, he wouldn’t have shot you. I’m sorry, this is my fault.” He cried.
“No. Harry I only got shot because that guy was crazy. He wasn’t unconscious when I thought he was.” I assured him. I glanced at Jeremy. He looked shaky and really pale.
“Are you okay?” I asked him. “What happened?”
“Nothing. I’m fine.” He said trying to sound convincing.
“Sit down.” I said. He sat in the chair beside my bed. I saw a bandage on his left arm.
“Yeah right nothing happened. What happened to your arm?” I asked. He motioned to something behind me. I looked, beside my heart monitor was a blood bag.
“No.” I gasped. “Why?”
“You needed it more than I did.” He said.
“How many did you give me?”
“3 quarts.” He said leaning into his chair.
“That’s too much Jer! You know that you could pass out right?”
“Yes I know. I didn’t do it all at once. I gave one today and two yesterday. I’ll be fine.” I looked at Harry.
“Did you?” I asked. He shook his head.
“They wouldn’t let me. I wanted to though.” He said.
“None of you should be giving something up for me!”
“Well too late now.” Jeremy said.
“You should sleep. Isn’t there a show tonight?”
“Yeah. I don’t think I’ll be going and neither will you.” He said. He got comfortable in the chair and closed his eyes. I looked at Harry.
“Were you injured? Did anything else happen to anyone?” I asked.
“No. We did a show last night. Tomorrow is our last one, then we’ll head to another.” He explained.
“That’s good. I hope I can still help out any way that I can.”
“You should take it easy for the next few day.” He said.
“Maybe. How are the girls?” I asked. Just then, Eleanor walked in, along with Danielle, Perrie, Paris and Theresa.
“She’s awake.” Eleanor exclaimed.
“Yay!” Perrie jumped for joy.
“Finally!” Danielle screamed as she ran towards me. They gave me a group hug.
“Guys, I’m fine. I just hope you did okay without me.” I said as I hugged them back.
“We’re fine, but we missed you, especially Eleanor.” Perrie said.
“Really? Why?” I asked.
“It felt odd without you, I was the only one without a bodyguard.” She said hugging me again.
“Aww! I’m sorry, but I was in a coma for two days.” I joked.
“I know.” Then she whispered something in my ear. “I have some stuff to tell you.”
