So here i am, flying to New York City to meet my... well basically “masters” for a few months. Whoever's out there listening to this, you should know a few things about me first. My name is Reyna. I'm a 16 year old Filipino, 5'7 in height, a YouTube star, and a published author. Well, I’m only famous in Canada. And nobody knows (except my family) that i am all these things. Usually when someone sees me, they turn away cause they don't bother to meet me. Because behind the YouTube videos, or amazing book... I'm a freak.
“We are now landing in New York City. Please put all chairs and trays up and fasten your seat belts. We hope you enjoyed your flight.” said the person on the PA
“Ugh... I really don't want to do this anymore.” I groaned. It was supposed to be for myself, but i guess i said that out loud.
“Do what?” a man's voice said beside me. I turned to my right, and there was a guy right beside me. I'll admit that he was kinda cute. His short black hair and brown eyes really suited him well. He looked... well average, not drop dead gorgeous.
I figured that i may not see him again, so why not tell him. “I was hired for a job as a bodyguard.” I said.
“Really? For who?” he asked.
“I'm guarding international pop stars.” I admitted.
“Why? You don't think a girl could be a bodyguard?”
“No. I believe you. It's just that i'm doing the same thing.” he admitted.
“One direction. I'm a personal bodyguard for the boys.”
“I'm a guard for their girlfriends!” I said excitedly. “I'm Reyna.” I introduced.
“Jeremy.” we shook hands. “So why don't you want to do this anymore?”
“I don't really feel like being pushed and shoved. If you know anything about their fans, you know exactly about how crazy their fans can be.”
“Do you even like them?”
“Yeah. But i've never been a hardcore fangirl you know. I've never stalked them, or found updates on them 24/7.”
“They're not bad, but they're not the best. Well, that's what i think.” he said.
“Everyone has their opinion.”
“You know, you're the first girl that didn't scream at me for saying that. I like you.” he said.
“Well, you better. It looks like we're gonna be together for a few months now.” I joked.
“Looks like we are.” he said holding he fist up. I bumped it. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all.
Ever since Paul told me and the boys that he had hired a bodyguard for the girls, we were all really relieved. Louis and i arrived at the airport to greet two bodyguards, one for the girlfriends, and another for us. I even agreed to dress up as their limo driver to learn some things about them. What i didn't know was who they were. I held up a sign that Paul made. Their names were Reyna and Jeremy. The boys agreed to be surprised, but i couldn't stop myself. I just stood there in a suit, hat, and sunglasses. I felt ridiculous, but that made this prank even funnier.
10 minutes after arriving at the baggage claim, a guy and a girl came walking in my direction. The guy was maybe my height, pretty toned, and kinda reminded me of Liam. The girl however... she was pretty. Not the kind the got me to stop breathing, but enough to seem really nice. She wore baggy cloths, all black, and wore her hair in a ponytail showing off her bangs.
“Well... we're here.” she smiled at me.
“Oh right. May i take your bags Miss Reyna.”
“No, i'll take it myself... and please call me Rey.”
“And you sir.” i turned to Jeremy.
“No thank you. But i think we have something in check in.” he said.
I nodded, and lead them to the baggage claim. Soon, we were looking for two luggages. We found Rey's first. Before she could take it, i swooped down and got it before she did.
“Allow me please.” i said. She nodded politely and searched for the other one.
“Hey! Over here!” Reyna called.
“Here, let me-” i was cut off when she lifted the luggage onto the cart. I just looked at her astonished. Then at Jeremy who also looked more shocked than i was.
“Do you have any idea how much that weighs?” Jeremy asked.
“A lot. I really don't care. I have my secrets.” she said shyly.
“To be honest, I had a hard time lifting that in my car.” Jeremy said as i pushed the cart. It was moving so slow, the bag had to be really heavy. We walked to the limo, and i lifted the bag... IT WAS HEAVY!! I could barely lift it, so Jeremy had to help me! We exchanged looks of confusing saying the same thing... How? They got in the limo, and I got in the driver’s seat. Naturally, Louis was there too, very well hidden.
“So old guy; Who are they and how old are they?” he asked as i got in.
“An 18 year old boy named Jeremy, and a 16 year old girl named Reyna. And from the first few minutes of knowing them, they're perfect for us.” I said as i started the limo.
“That means this will be an interesting tour.” he said. I agree with Lou.
