“Well that was fun!” I screamed as we all left the club.
“Hell yeah!” Niall joined in.
“How’re we getting home?” Harry asked.
“The hotel is only a block away. Let’s just walk.” Martin said. We all started walking. The boys were talking about things in the back, while the girlfriends were walking in the front, with Reyna right behind us of course. She looked really lonely.
“So… how are you Reyna?” I asked her.
“I’m okay I guess. And please call me Rey from now on.” She said. “That goes for all of you too.”
“Okay then Rey. Did you have fun at least?” Perrie joined in.
“Yeah.” She said very glum.
“Then why are you so down?” El accidentally blurted.
“Well that escalated quickly.” Rey responded. “I dunno. Maybe I’m just getting a little home sick.”
“Oh really? How far is home?” I asked.
“I live in Canada. Toronto area. So not really far.” She said.
“I think we’re gonna be there in a few weeks.” Perrie clarified.
“Yeah we are. I think I’ll take you guys around. If Paul will let me.” She said.
“Sounds great. But is there a lot of stuff to do?”
“Sorta. I’ll show you what it’s like through my experience there. I’ll show you my favourite things to do there. You’ll experience things the way I do.” She said to us. I was intrigued.
“Give us details! I wanna know.” Perrie begged.
“Maybe we could watch a movie at this great theatre. They do events for movies at the mid-night release. Like for Hunger Games, I won a mocking jay pin and an arrow. Then we could go to this restaurant that’s right across the street. It only sells desserts. Or maybe I’ll take you to downtown Mississauga and go shopping or play laser tag. Or I’ll show you guys what I usually do on weekends… I just realized how boring that sounds.” She said really embarrassed.
“No! No! That actually sounds really fun.” El said.
“Yeah. I’m excited for that now!” Perrie exclaimed.
“Well then maybe you guys could stay at my place.” Rey said.
“Will your parents mind?” I asked.
“No! You don’t understand! I don’t live with my parents. I live in this mansion with my cousins that still live there. We go to the same school so we thought it would be easier to do that. Our parents still live in our childhood homes. And we spend time with our parents every holiday and weekend. Yeah, we’ve lived like that for six years.” She said.
“Whoa, how many cousins do you have?” I asked.
“Um…” she was counting in her head. “Maybe 20 or more. Some moved out because they got married or got a better job. So there are still 15 people that live in the house for sure. And we also still have a few empty bedrooms we use for guests.” She said.
“Wow! That sounds awesome! How did you guys even get the money to do that?” El asked.
“We have our secrets.” Rey winked. “But I’m happy to let you guys stay there. It’s better than any hotel I can promise you that.”
“Yeah! That sounds so fun!” I yelled. Clearly I was still tipsy. I twirled onto the street, just feeling the wind flow to my arms, legs and hair. I couldn’t see what was around me.
“Dani!” I heard a girl’s voice scream before I was pushed to the floor. I heard a big bang and then a loud thud.
“OH MY GOD!!!” The boys started screaming. I looked up and sobered up right away. The sight I saw was something I will never forget. Someone pushed me out of the way from getting hit by a truck. In front of the truck was Reyna crumpled on the floor… her blood gushing from god knows what… and not moving.
