I was truly nervous, first dates with people are always rather nerve racking, am I overdressed? Am I underdressed? Is this cologne to much?
But to be honest I'm normally pretty calm and casual, I've never felt so nervous on a date with another girl, than this one.
This girl is different.
I knocked upon her door, the white wood rattled, I stood back, and looked around the place, it was a large home and was made of wood going across in the same direction. Painted a fresh clear white, the garden was filled with bright flowers, although some were starting to droop, preparing to die.
I heard light footsteps on the creaking floors inside and a relived sigh. She opened the door with a quick small smile and a weakly cheerful expression, around her eyes were slightly red and puffy, as though she'd just shredded a few tears, she then stepped forward,
"Hey" she sniffled silently and shyly,
turning to close the door, the wind picked it up and it closed with a loud bang.
"Hey, you look amazingly beautiful" she went a light shade of red and bowed her head.
"Thankyou" she mumbled
I walked up to her and slide my had around her small fragile looking waist.
I opened her door to my black SUV, heat rose to my cheeks as I realised, I hadn't bothered to clean the car, I threw away an empty McDonald takeaway bag, into the back seat, before she sat down.
"Sorry about the mess" he said softy, he sounded vulnerable. Vulnerable in a way that made me think my opinion on him truly mattered.
I smiled, he was so damn cute.
I got in his car, which was rather messy, but I didn't mind, I though it was rather adorable how he kept fussing.
He was clearly just as nervous as I was.
As he drove we sat in silence, being with Zayn made me forget everything apart from the present moment.
I studied his face, he had tiny stubbies along his chin and upper lip, just the right length for him to look dangerously sexy, his chocolate brown eyes were concentrating on the road ahead of him.
He glanced at me from the corner of his eyes, his lips lifting up into a smile ever so slowly. Showing his perfectly straightened white teeth.
"I can see you staring at me you know" he joked lightly.
I blushed, embarrassed that he'd caught me out.
"S-sorry I'm just trying to figure you out" I replied.
"What's there to figure out?" His voice was full of curiosity, I hesitated thinking, not wanting to blow my chance. I could feel him looking at me, as though his eyes where staying, "come on tell me."
"There's so many other prettier girls, you could be taking out for tea right now, I guess I'm trying to figure out why you chose me?"
"Want to know a secret?" He mysteriously whispered, he was covering his mouth, like a little kid.
"Sure" A small bubbly giggle, escaped my strawberry flavoured lips.
"I always thought you were by far the prettiest" he whispered loudly, I made a small excited squeak. I covered my mouth in shame.
He let out a light laugh, and gave me a small wink. I smiled widely and didn't care if all of the town could see, I was truly and blissfully happy.
