32. Chapter 32

Paige's POV;

I walked into see a distraught, tired, and pregnant Harper sitting by the side of the bed, Zayn had been in hospital for around three whole weeks now, never moving a muscle or a move of the finger she constantly held.

Time dragged slowly as we all, his supportive and lovely parents, siblings, Harry, Harper and I, anxiously wait for Zayn to finally awake. Although no one really stays as much as Harper. They just pop in every now and then. We have all offered to switch places with Harper so she can go get a good nights sleep in her own bed. But she always declines the offer.

His wound had almost fully recovered miraculously "he's very lucky to have recovered so quickly, strong body he must have" he had cheerfully informed Harper, Harry and I.

Although the doctors are unable to know why it has taken so long for a reaction. I really feel for her.
Her tummy was covered by a white skin tight singlet, showing her slowly developing baby bump, it was small and if you didn't know she was pregnant you couldn't have guessed. But it was still growing inside of her, everyday getting a little bigger than the last. The bump, formed small  light grey shadows on the soft white material.

I personally think Harper isn't dealing very well being stuck in this hospital twenty-four seven especially with a baby growing in her now almost, flat stomach. But she's persistent on staying here for Zayn's sake. I see why. She wants to be the one he sees first, she wants to tell him she never left his side, not once. I know she loves him, even though she wont admit it.

"Hey" I said softly, snapping out of my thoughts, her eyes slowly drifted from Zayn's face to mine. Sadness was in her eyes, getting deeper as time slipped by longer and longer.

"Hey" she replied in the same bored, emotionless tone she'd been using for the last three long and busy weeks.
I passed her, her daily coffee and vitamins, and some salt, pepper and tomato sandwich.

She gave me a reassuring smile, and started sipping on her coffee. With the first taste she cringed, her eyes crinkling at the side, she stuck out her small pink tongue. As if the air would suddenly cool it from the burn of hot steamy coffee resting on it.
