What Paige had done for me was so overwhelming. Who thought you could get a best friend so amazing and generous?!
I blushed, she made me feel special.
Paige and I drove into town and sat down at a small table in Starbucks. The waitress came over to take our order. She was pretty, her hair brown with a tinge of red, her eyebrows thin, she was pale and thin. Her eyes a light chocolate brown.
"I'll take a tea, one sugar with skim milk thankyou" I replied, she turned to Paige.
"And I'll take a coffee, no sugar." She answered, the waitress gave up an approving nod and left.
"So about um, yeah.. Could you not tell anyone please?! At least not until I'm ready, I won't be near him he can't hurt me. So can we wait?" I stated, i couldn't handle telling anyone else. It was already hard enough telling my very own best friend. I glanced at my arm, glad to remember to cover up before I left Paige's house. My house.
My phone chimed signalling a text message, I looked at the screen it was Zayn. I smiled and read the message. I didn't even have a call from my mum yet.
"Hey baby! How's it going we haven't talk for a while, could we plan something - Z x" I blushed at the use of 'baby' no one had ever called me that before.
Paige's voice interrupted mine, peering at the my phone screen she spoke "so now might be a good time to announce I have a boyfriend, Harry!" She sung. My eyes widened.
I felt so happy for her, "Awh that's amazing Paige!" I said loudly.
"So I was thinking how about we go on a double date, since I haven't met Zayn and you haven't met Harry it's perfect!"
"What a brilliant idea" I commented.
"How about tomorrow night? I'm about to reply to Zayn anyway so you should ask Harry now!" I pleaded.
I grabbed my phone, sliding it open, typing in the small letters of the keypad.
"Hey Zayn, I've mentioned Paige my bestfriend haven't I? Well we are going to meet with her and her new boyfriend for a double date tomorrow night." I cheered. Excitement filled my system. Harry sounded like a handsome and great guy I was overjoyed for Paige.
We both drove home with large smiles on our faces. It was now three pm, according to the cars automatic clock, in which couldn't be wrong. As we pulled into the dark gravelled driveway. Jake was just dropping off the boxes. Paige ran out of the car, and said something I could hear. He nodded.
Paige waved me over, a reassuring smile on her face.
"Okay you girls get this end, I'll get the other" Jake's surprisingly deep voice ordered. We both nodded in unison.
About an hour later, both things were set up in our room, Paige and Jake had dragged out one of the Montgomery's spare single mattresses, I laughed lightly, it was basically brand new, the house probably doesn't even own not one single bed!
I retrieved my bag from the floor and got out the photos, placing them on the wall neatly with blue-tack, just above the front railing of my bed. I made sure my favourite one of Dad and I was in the very centre. I finished and made my bed with the sheets, pillows and blankets Paige had generously supplied earlier. Opening my table draw, I placed in most of the things from inside my tote bag. Apart from my teddies which I placed on my bed. They smiled at me, as if happy from a new change of scenery. I giggled at my outrageous and crazy thoughts. I hung my empty handbag on the post of my bed along with the hand me down black kardashion bag Paige had given me. She thought my other one was getting 'worn out' I guess it was, I sighed quietly.
I had to learn to forget, David couldn't get me.
My phone rung, my mother was in a raging mood.
"Where do you thinking you are Missy?!" She growled angrily.
"I moved out, to Paige's for a while okay? I'm fine I just need space!" I shot back.
"Dave told me you had run away, not long ago." She informed.
"I'm fine mum, anyway I'm tired I will call in the morning, love you, sleep safe"
She seemed to calm down a little hearing that I was fine and happy.
"Okay, as long as you do! Goodnight love you to." She replied slight annoyance in her voice. I shrugged as much as I love my mother, she'll have to get over it I can't go back.
Harper had made her side of the room nice, neat and cozy. While she had been unpacking, I'd explained everything to my mother, apart from why, obviously.
When I returned we sat down and shared her new bed, looking at the magazines and giggling, occasionally ripping and placing a good poster onto the white walls, which was slowly turning into a fall of famous faces.
I smiled as I got into bed, thinking about how great tomorrow will be. I was excited for the date for once Harper and I, could do prepare for everything together.
