Hey guys! This is my first fanfic, so stick with me! Thanks for reading! Also Niall won't be in the first few chapters, sorry!
"What the heel do you think you're doing?! You bunch of slackers!" I demanded as I barged into the training room, "W-we're sorry m'am," My newest trainee, Jess, stuttered, "I don't care! Pair up! We're sparring today!" I commanded, "You should take it easy on them, this is still new to them," My best friend, and co-trainer, Eve softly spoke, "Well, we live in a tough world. Better to introduce them to it now than later," I coldly stated. Eve and I walked over to the group of junior fighters, and I gave them the signal to begin, "So, are you going to the Kingdom Ball this Saturday?" Eve asked, "No, you know I hate those things," I monotoned. I honestly don't understand how Eve can put up with me. She always does the talking, and I just stare, and if your lucky I mutter a few words.
If you haven't noticed, I'm not very open with my emotions, not with the world we live in, "Oh, come on! It'll be so much fun, and we could get all dressed up, and-" "You lost me at dressed up. Mike! Don't hesitate! Kick with all you've got!" I interrupted her, "Jamie, you're the princess. People are going to want to see more of you. Even more now that your coordination is less than a month away," Eve argued.
"One moment," I said as I started towards Jess. I have to say, I feel bad for her. She's paired up with my best junior fighter, "Jess! Come here for a second," I commanded, "Y-y-yes m'am," She said while looking at the ground, "Well, first of all, you need to look someone in the eyes when you talk to them. It show strength. Also square your shoulders, if you want respect, you need to show you're worthy of it," I said. Jess slowly looked up at me, and slightly pushed back her shoulders. I gave a small smile, "There you go! Now, you've got a big partner, but that's not always an advantage to your opponent. The bigger they are the harder they fall. Focus all of your attention on him, find his weakness, and use it against him. You can do this," I stated. I saw a look of surprise, and then determination. She turned around, and went back to Trey. As they began, I saw Jess hesitate to punch him, but when she did, and he flinched, her look turned to determination. In that moment, I knew that she knew, she found his weakness.
She started throwing punches left and right, catching Trey by surprise. He tried to fight back, but Jess was quick, extremely quick. Then, Jess surprised me. It seemed to happen in slow motion. Jess squatted down, whipped her body around, and thrusted her foot into his face. Trey flew back, and slammed into the mat.
"That was amazing! Great job, Jess!" I exclaimed while slapping her back. She grinned at me. It was very rare that I give out this big of a complement, but she definitely deserved it, "Alright! Training's done for today! We'll meet outside tomorrow, we're going on a 5 mile run in wolf form," I commanded. I saw all of them smile as they walked out of the room, "That was pretty good there," Eve smiled.
"Thanks," I said, "So, are you going to go?" She asked hopefully. I looked at her and thought for a moment, "Alright, I'll go"
