Niall's arms were cuddling me as I slept. It felt good to feel his warmth around me. I snuggled closer to his chest. I could feel him slightly breathing on me. Making sure I didn't wake him up, I checked the time. 6:15 exactly. Perfect timing, I thought.
But I didn't want to leave just yet. I wanted to stay in Niall's arms, knowing he'd protect me, no matter what happened. Besides, even if Niall wasn't here, I'd still stay in bed when I was in this condition.
I hugged Niall so we looked like we were attached to each other. I didn't know that it would wake him up, however.
"Good morning, Kacey." He closed his eyes and leaned in to kiss me.
"Hold up there, Niall. I'm still sick, remember?"
"Oh. Right, sorry." He scratched the back of his head. "If you're sick, how are you gonna get breakfast ready?" Niall asked me.
"You could tell the boys. I'll bet one of them cooks."
"Okay. I'll be right back." Niall kissed my forehead and walked out. It feels cold without him...
"I'm back!" Niall said in a sing-song voice.
"That quick, huh?" I couldn't talk very loud, due to my sore throat.
"Yup. Harry volunteered to make breakfast for all of us. And he made extra for me." Niall grinned.
"Of course." I rolled my eyes.
"So, what kind of sickness do you have?" He went from happy to concerned.
"Well, Jason-one of my Team Crafted friends, mind you-said that it was the flu. It'll clear up in a few days, according to him. And I was officially accepted into the ranks of Team Crafted!" I said excitedly.
"What does that mean?" Niall asked.
"It's the greatest thing to ever happen to a Minecraft commenator, Niall. You don't know 'cause you're not a YouTuber." I rested my head on his chest and sighed. "I've never really known what it's like to be truly loved by someone who isn't your blood line."
"Well, have you felt it now?" Niall stroked my hair, sending the butterflies in my stomach to go crazy.
"I think so. It's just..." An all-too familiar sound rang in my ears. "Did you hear that?"
"There was a demonic laugh just a second ago." The laugh came again.
"Oh, I see what you mean. But what does it matter?"
"The balance of the world. I'll be right back. Prince Maxwell's returned from the depths of hell." I raced out of my bed, grabbing Zelda.
"Who's Prince Maxwell?" Niall called back.
"I'll explain later! I don't have much time!" Racing down the stairs and out the door, a familiar face I didn't want to see came straight up to me.
"Hello, Kacey. We meet again."
