*about a month later*
"Okay, Niall. Don't over-text me. That's the only I really, really want you to follow."
"What are the other rules?" I sighed.
"You gotta feed the animals and give them water, the cages were already cleaned out, so you don't need to do that, and the amount is on the bag. Please don't invite anybody over, I don't want the place trashed. Just take care of the house in general." I shrugged.
"Okay. Can I trust you not to cheat on me?" Niall asked, giving me his puppy dog eyes.
"Silly, we aren't even dating." I playfully pushed him. "I'm going, guys!" I walked out of the house.
"Wait, Kacey." Niall pulled me back in.
"What is it?" Niall drew me closer to him and kissed me, our lips colliding. He was the first to pull away.
"Just...be safe. I don't know what would happen if I lost you."
I smiled. "Okay. See you in a week." I waved as Niall shut the door. Checking to see if anyone was watching, I unveiled my wings and flew west to Seattle.
I came in the main room, waiting to ask Niall something. But something stopped me. I could see them saying goodbye, no big deal. It was what happened next that set me off. Niall pulled Kacey in and kissed her. I wanted Kacey! I deserved her, not Niall! I know, it's cruel, but when it comes to love, nobody, and I mean nobody, stands in my way of a potential girlfriend. Who the fuck cares if I leave them the night after I hook up with them? Kacey would be the one to really stay, and she would like it. We'd bang every night.
Something brought me back, but it was unclear what. Kacey left for PAX. I couldn't stand having one day without Kacey, let alone a week. I'd never make it.
No matter. Niall can kiss Kacey all he wants, but Kacey Elit would be mine.
I touched down, landing safely at Adam's front door. I didn't bother to take away my wings, they already knew. And besides, they were my friends. I knocked on the door, only to find Jason opening it for me.
"Hey, you came!" He smiled and blushed. Jason was adorable when he blushed.
"Why the hell wouldn't I?" We both laughed.
"Well, come on in! We have something important to discuss." Important? That was a first. I followed Jason to the next room over, where the others were waiting for me.
"So, what are the important news?" I asked. Adam stood up.
"Kacey, we've been thinking, and we...well..."
"Well, what? Tell me!"
Adam took a deep breath. "We want you to join Team Crafted."
