I heard a knock at the door. "Come in, guys!" I called as I ran back up the stairs. I opened the door to find Zayn and Niall, as promised.
"Hey, you guys are here!" Lolo stood up from our couch and came over to the door.
"Thanks for letting us come over, girls. It...means a lot." Zayn scratched the back of his head.
"So, what did you guys need, anyway?" I said, trying to change the subject.
"Well..." Zayn took Lolo's hand in his. "I...kind of need to talk with Lolo in private." Lolo blushed.
"Um...okay!" Lolo led Zayn to our room. I sat down on our couch.
"Zayn said that you also had something to talk about?" I looked over to Niall.
"Yeah." Niall sat down next to me. I could feel adrenaline pumping through my system. "I was questioned by one of the popular people yesterday, right before I went home."
I stood up. "WHAT?!?! What did she say?" If there was anyone that could piss me off, it was Makenzie and her bag of stupid croonies. How they all got into Aliols High was beyond me.
"Um..." I could always tell when Niall was starting to stammer. This was one of those times.
"Who was it? Whoever it was, I'm gonna sock them in the face." I balled my hands into fists.
"No way, you're too nice for that." Niall smiled in a joking way.
I groaned. "You don't know the half of me." I sat back down.
"Anyway," Niall continued. "Makenzie questioned why I was still hanging out with, and I quote, 'losers like that ginger-haired nerd and the freak bitch on cupcakes'." Now I was on edge. No one at all called Lolo that!
"That little..." I had to punch something, anything. I screamed and punched the wall, leaving a dent in the wall and my hand cracked and bleeding. Tears streamed down my face as the pain seared through my hand. Our walls were pretty much soundproof, so the only one that could hear me was Niall. There was a serious look of shock on his face, his mouth hanging open. "I'm gonna get a band-aid." I rushed to the bathroom and looked for the band-aids in the medicine cabinet.
"You know, those won't help very much." I jumped at the sound of Niall's voice. He was standing in the doorway, his intense light blue gaze looking at me with concern.
"What do you know." I bent down and got out bandages. "God, this is my right hand too!" I started to cry again. "How am I gonna write when my hand is like this?"
"Well, it wouldn't affect me all that much if it happened to me."
"Because you're a leftie, I know, Niall." Wrapping the bandages around my hand, relief soon came. "Do you know when this is gonna clear up?" I turned to Niall.
"How should I know? I'm part of a boy band on the verge of taking the world by storm and play guitar, not a doctor!" I tried not to laugh.
"Can I still punch Makenzie off campus, though?"
Niall shrugged. "If you want to. I'm supposing that you wouldn't let her get away with her calling you and Lolo that."
