'Where am I?' I thought to myself as I walked up to an old creaking house in the middle of nowhere, literally. That night I ran away from my house so that I could calm myself down after I got into a huge fight with my big brother.
My name is Gabriel and I am 14 years old. I have mid back length brown hair. I usually have natural curls. I have milk chocolate brown eyes and I've heard that my smile was very pretty. My parents died in an alley coming home from a late night concert in downtown, of course drunk, when a couple of other drunks, carrying a gun, came up to them a shot them both in the head for no reason. This happened when I was 12, and I only heard about it when my brother told me to pack all my things with tears in his eyes. I asked where we were going, but he just got angrier and yelled at me to pack my bags. When we got in his car and drove off, it was only until two hours went by that he told me that our parents died. I broke down in tears and he rubbed my back to calm me down. He told me everything would be alright and that we will move as far away as possible and live there so we can get the past behind us. That's how we ended up here in the great city of San Francisco, California.
Anyways, me and my brother got into a fight because I said one little sentence about our mom and dad. He just completely went crazy and wouldn't stop until after like two hours. When he was finally done I went upstairs and packed some, not all, clothes and sneaked out the front door when he was reading in his room.

Now, I'm at this house and don't know if anyone lives here. I rang the door bell, of course it didn't work, it was an old house for crying out loud! So, I knocked on the door and it magically opened. I walked in, "Hello? Hello?" "Sorry for barging in, but I have no place to stay!" "If you don't mind could I stay here for just the night?" Nobody answered. When I walked in some more, it wasn't half bad in there. I mean, there were spider webs and creepy stuff like that, but it definitely looked a lot bigger on the inside and nicer, than on the outside. I really needed to stay the night there so I went up the steps and I jumped every time I heard a creek because I thought there was someone in the house, but I laughed it off and knew it was just me. I found the most decent room I could and put my clothes in the drawers. For some strange, and weird reason, I found some dusty clothes in the drawers. I just left them and put my stuff on top.
Seeing I was smart enough to bring some food, especially my favorite, Roman Noodles, I went down the steps and into the kitchen, if I can find it. "Now let me see. Here is the living room, and here is the dining room. Wow, that is a beautiful chandelier." "Aha! Here is the kitchen!" I went in and not to my surprise, there was no microwave. "FANTASTIC!" I screamed out loud, and probably loud enough for Russia to hear me. I guess I can clean a little around here seeing I can't eat or go back to the house for a little while. I'm stuck here, great. I want to go back so bad but hey, maybe I can have my own house. I laughed at that comment. 'what the hell?' Someone was definitely here with me. Maybe it was a ghost. NO GABRIEL! You don't believe in that stuff.
I didn't hear anything after that, so I just cleaned. I found some cleaning things in the closet by the front door. I started sweeping the stairs, then the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, and lastly all of the rooms upstairs. I was drenched in sweat. Gross. There is so much more to be done. I found some Windex, so I'm going to clean every single top of anything I can find. Done. I can't do anything about the bed sheets.
I went outside for some peace and quiet and all I heard were birds tweeting and chirping here and there. I heard some leaves crunching almost as if someone were coming. If so, I really hope it wasn't my brother. I didn't turn around, but I heard a husky male voice saying my name, and I was officially scared out of my wits. I didn't want to run inside because I was afraid they would catch me and take me. Sitting on the ground, I could feel, and hear, my heart racing. I admit, I was terrified, but I thought 'one single move Gab's and you could potentially be taken.' 'who knows they could just be friendly neighbors wanting to say hello or something. Don't think negative Gab's, think positive. But, how did they know my name? That is what really didn't seem right. Plus, I looked around before, there a wasn't a living creature in sight. I may be able to hear the birds, but I can't even see them in the tall trees.' I can hear the footsteps getting louder and louder, and my heart beating faster and faster. I didn't know what was going to happen so I sat there, like a statue, and didn't move an inch.
