"Dad! Dad, I've got a letter! I've actually got a letter!" I shouted ecstatic, I ran around the house searching determinedly for my dad. He was in the kitchen making some tea. "Oh! The time has come darling! The time that I have told you will come since you were three! Open it, open it!" He said as he sat down and handed me a tea, I was too excited to drink so it soon went cold. I viciously opened the letter and it read: 'dear Luna Lovegood, you have been accepted to go to hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Enclosed in this letter is a list of all the items you shall need to purchase from diagon alley for your time at hogwarts.

"Oh my goodness! I am a witch aren't I? This is amazing," I exclaimed excitedly, "when? When do we go to diagonally?" I asked, my eyes were aching after reading all of that letter but I didn't care one little bit. " it's Diagon Alley darling and we go tomorrow if you want," dad answered, he didn't really understand how excited I was.
"Hoot, hoot," I heard a noise that sounded like a bird from in the hallway. I stood up out of my chair and walked cautiously into the picture covered hallway. There, on the door mat, was a oak brown bird pruning its feathers. It was completely oblivious to me standing there with my bottom jaw touching the floor because I was so shocked. I remember thinking, it must of delivered my letter. So I ran back into the kitchen to show dad. Once I was in the room I whispered "dad, dad there is an owl in the hall! Come see! Come see!" Grabbing his hand I tugged him into the hall, but by the time we got there the beautiful creature was gone.
