4. Chapter 4 "Saved By You"
His Webbing was similar to a real spider's. But it isn't enough to find out what he is. I need to find out more.
I was home alone. I yawned and closed the book I was reading. I sleepily got off the couch and walked down the hall. I tripped on a cord and fell forward onto the floor. "Ow..." I murmur to myself tiredly and get up.
Suddenly the outlet burst into flames and I whirled around and screamed. The fire alarms went off, I barely even noticed. The fire danced and crawled up the wall and along the floor.
I sobbed and ran through the house. The fire followed me wherever I went and I was finally cornered in the livening room. I hid behind the couch crying.
"Hello?" I hear someone's voice echo through the house. "Firefighters!" I say to myself hopefully and push the couch away and crawl on my knees into the open to see the couch half eaten my flames.
"Hello? Where are you?" I hear his voice again. "H-" I cough on all the smoke filling my lungs. "Here!" I say through coughs. Someone comes running in, I collapse as all the smoke rushes in my lungs. I couldn't see him properly, my vision was blurry from the smoke burning my eyes.
I hear him footsteps come closer and he gently picks me up. I felt safe in his strong grip. "Are you okay?" He asks me. "I'm- f-" I starts coughing. "Fine," I finish.
He runs, avoiding the flames. He opens a window and climbs out. I breathed in the fresh air and it felt amazing. He climbed to the ground, which was 20 stories. He laid me on the soft grass and crouches beside me.
"Are you okay?" He asks. I blink the smoke out of my eyes and my vision clears. I see him and gasp. He looks up from me as the fire department arrives at the scene. And as soon as he came, he was gone.
"Saved again," I start to smile. "Thanks..." I murmur to myself.
How is it so far? Comment what you think and I'll continue if the comments are good and discontinue if I get bad comments.
