We were now in the airport saying bye.
"You'll be fine," Dad told me as we pulled away from our hug.
"I know but im going to miss you so much," I told him.
"I know you will but this is for the best," He replied.
He then gave Ty a hug and said something in his ear but i couldn't hear. Ty nodded his head and gave dad another hug and pulled away with a stray tear rolling down his face.
"Come here you big softy," Dad told Jay and they hugged as well.
"You'll call every day, right?" Jay asked him.
"Of course i will. What father would i be if i didn't phone my own children," Dad asked and looked in Ty and i's direction.
"Calling for all left passengers for flight 257 to New Orleans. Last passengers for flight 257 to New Orleans," A voice called through a speaker.
"I guess thats me," Dad said.
At this point, i couldn't help but burst into a sob and grab onto Ty's arm to prevent me falling to the ground. I couldn't care about all the people around us who were looking at me like some freek.
'This is really it.' I thought to myself as dad picked up his backpack and put it over his shoulder.
"Everything will work out in the end," He said and came closer to us.
"I love you," He whispered and kissed the top of my head.
"I love you all," He said a bit louder this time. He took a step back and looked at all of us with tears in his eyes.
"Im going to miss you all," He told us.
"Were going to miss you too," Jay told him, his voice cracking at the end.
"Finial call for flight 257 to New Orleans. This is the finial call for all left passengers for flight 257 to New Orleans. The gate closes in five minutes," The voice said through the speaker again.
"I guess this is goodbye for a while then," Dad announced.
"I guess it is," Ty replied and i just cried more as dad looked at us for one last time with a small smile on his face before walking away and heading to the gate to catch his plane.
