My plan seemed perfect, as long as i repeated it every morning. It's a good thing that they have different people in the mornings than at nights, otherwise it wouldn't work out so well. I smiled after getting back in my room and hiding evidence. I noticed someone had wrote on the note I left. I picked it up and it said "Next time take the dog with you." I have myself a face palm. Duh, he doesn't want to be stuck like this all day. I set my alarm for six. This would give me enough time to walk him and still carry out my plan.
BEEP...BEEP...BEEP...I got dressed in Jean shorts and a white tank. Simple, but flattering. Then i got Claw on a leash. I took him running down at the meadow. I just hoped no one would catch us. I let him lose and he ran, chasing anything that moved.
It had been five minutes when someone grabbed me from behind. It was Jackson! Oh no! Wait, i am wearing my disguise already. I was so lucky. "Hey !" He smiled.
"Hi" i cooed back. And then, Claw. He came running and charged right into Jackson! I gasped. I whistled and Claw relaxed and sat behind me. "Bad boy!" I loudly whispered. I helped up Jackson, "im so sorry" i said seriously.
"No, its okay. Wait, isn't that the same dog in room 62?" he asked confused.
I began to shake, afraid he knew the truth. "Ummm, yeah." I replied nervously.
"Well why are taking care of him?"
"Weeeelllll, she's a distant cousin of mine, so i figure i owe her a favor cause she helped me take care of my dad when he was dying." I tried to talk myself up, my REAL self. "She hasn't been feeling well lately and she said she is going to be hanging around the campus, but doesn't want to be in her room. So dont be surprised if she's not in her room again. I may leave Claw out to roam, he comes to a special tune of a whistle. I whistle, he comes." I had folded my arms when a breeze came through.
He nodded and looked at his watch. "Oh crap!"
"What?" I asked.
"We have ten minutes until the check ins!" I quickly looked at Claw, "ready boy?" He stood up, panting but seemed hyper. I took off at the fastest pace i could and Claw easily caught up. I knew he could. It's in his genes! With the sled dog races with huskys, its obvious, he is a pure breed.
Jackson came chasing us but couldn't quite catch up. Just as we were reaching the building, i put the leash on Claw. Jackson gave me a peice of paper and smiled as he walked to my room. I looked at it quickly. It was his number. Oh crap. This was not good. I don't like him like that! I didn't know what to say to him. I just shoved it in my pocket and walked into Danny's room.
I instantly locked the door, stripped of my disguise and walked over to his bed. I un hooked Claw's leash and he slept over at the door. I rested next to Danny. He turned over and hugged me. "Hi" he said in a sleepy tone. I faced him.
"Hi". He began to stretch when i quickly kissed him and he flinched in surprise. I heard Claw give a deep growl. Danny quickly sat up at the unfamiliar noise. I rested my hand on his chest. "It's okay. It's only Claw. He's a bit overprotective. Sorry." I whispered softly. He tried to hold me but Claw wouldn't let him. So he rested his head on my lap and i played with his hair as he talked about his childhood. It was interesting, like he had never known his sister until he was ten. He also never went to a public school untip two years ago. What a weird life. But i just listened.
I told him i would come to see him every morning. I wanted to tell him about Jackson, but decided not to. For the next week the cycle repeated. I went with Jackson to the meadow, we came back and i would see Danny for a few hours, and brought him breakfast. I would have to be careful because of Claw... it was perfect.
