The Moment I got Home, I saw Christopher on the couch reading a book, how cute. I noticed he didn't pay attention to the door nor heard it. So, I decided to sneak up behind him and cover his eyes.
"Don't talk or else I'll slit your throat." I said, mustering the deepest voice I could make, trying to act like a thief or something. "That's cute Ashley." Christopher answered and I sighed. I removed my Hands from his eyes.
"Why do you always know if it's Me?" I asked, pouting. "First, because of your voice. Second, burglar or criminals don't cover other people's eyes." He stated blankly and I plopped myself beside him. "Guess you're right." I said.
I laid my head on his chest and he started to stroke my hair. "What's wrong?" He asked worriedly. "Nothing. Just Missed you." I lied. I always go to Christopher whenever I had problems and situations like these. He would always let me forget about it... This was an exception.
I still can't forget about what happened a while ago, I still felt it. So, I figured that I should get some sleep. "Christopher, I'm so exhausted. I'm going to bed now." I said.
I stood up and Christopher followed right after. The both of us got into my Room and Christoper closed the door. "Babe, I've got something to tell you." He called out excitedly. I turned to him. "Yeah?" I asked with a small smile. "I got a job!" He yelled out with a huge smile.
I grinned at him and hugged him. Obviously, he was very happy. The reason he was happy cause I always did the job, and he didn't like that. He didn't like me to have a very hard time. "I'll work every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday Morning." He said, still smiling. My Smile turned into a frown. "That means we won't get to hang out that much, huh?" I said, looking down. I work every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday Evening.
He lifted my chin up. "Don't be sad love. At least we still get to hang out." He kissed my forehead. "Now, let's get some rest." He added and I nodded. I laid down on my side of the bed and he laid down on his.
The only thing that was on my mind before I slept was Louis.
-The Next Morning, at Work-
I walked my way down the street when I heard Lavender's voice during Break Time. "Ashley! Ashley!" She called out and I turned around. She was chasing after me and stopped. She panted and gasped for breath before she spoke.
"Could I come with you?" She finally asked and I nodded with a smile. "Sure, why not?" I said and she just smiled.
We went in Starbucks and ordered ourselves a Latte and a Belgium Waffle for myself. We sat in a table for two in the Corner.
"So, why didn't you come with the others?" I asked her while sipping my Latte. "Well, they were going to eat somewhere else and I saw you walking to Starbucks. So, I decided to go with you." She answered me while drinking her Latte. "I see." I said, taking a bite of my Belgium Waffle.
"Though, I wanted to ask you something..." Lavender admitted and I just looked at her. "What is it?" She asked me soothingly.
"I know it's a p-personal question, but w-why'd y-you move to A-America?" She uttered nervously and I just stared at her. Well, I didn't expect her to say that. I had always kept it to myself, but hey, she's a great friend. I had to at least tell her.
"Oh, never mind. I was just wondering since you mentioned it was because of Familial Issues and I was so curious." She said, looking down. I sighed. "It was a long time ago, when I was younger..." I started.
I was around 15 Years Old. I was turning 16 in just a few days. Every so often, my father would always leave the house and get back during Nighttime. We never had time to hang out nor talk. He'd always be out no matter what day. He'd always ignore my questions whenever I asked him if we could hang out or something. A few days later, my Mother found out my Father had an affair with someone else and had another family. She just kept it to herself because she was so afraid to have a fight with my Father. She didn't even spit it out to me, not once. But every night when my father was away, she'd cry silently.
It was my Birthday and I was officially 16 Years Old. My Parents had set up a Party for Me. But suddenly, A Lady had arrived. None of us new who that was, but she looked really angry. She slapped my Mom so hard my Mom fell to the ground. "STOP MESSING AROUND WITH MY MAN." The Lady boomed, not caring that there was an occasion and my mom stood up. She slapped the woman. "YOU'RE TELLING ME TO STOP MESSING WITH HIM WHEN HE IS MY HUSBAND?" My Mother had fought back and they had a huge fight. My Father had appeared and my mom had just burst out at him. "YOU. YOU CHEATER!" She cried out. My Father though looked angry. He didn't expect the lady to go here, but he just went to the Lady's Side. He looked so angry at my Mother for hitting the Woman. He explained the reason why he had another family was because he didn't love my Mother anymore... He said he didn't love us. So, he just went with the other woman and the other family. He left us alone.
I ran into My room after all that happened and sobbed. I sobbed the whole day and he didn't care if it was My Birthday. We had left the house after a few weeks, he didn't want us there anyway.
"And... He just left us just like that." I finished it off like that, wiping away a Tear. "How dreadful." Lavender had spit it out without complete shock. "Well, it's over now. I have completely forgotten about it." I lied, trying to sound convincing. Though, I haven't, I wish I did. I had loved my Father so much. I trusted him, but what did he do in return? He just left for another family.
"Let's go. I think our shift will start anytime soon." I told Lavender and she nodded, standing up. We went back to the Restaurant and started working again.
