After relaxing in the beach, Louis and I chose to start our journey back home. The drive was long but fun.
"Hey, Lou..." I spoke after thinking about something. "Yeah?" He mumbled, his gazed still focused on the road. "Is Niall dating anyone?" I asked him and his face grew pale.
"Don't get me wrong Lou, I just wondered if he was single since a friend of mine liked him." I explained before he could think of something else.
He took a deep breath and focused back on the road.
"Who is this friend of yours?" He asked me without hesitation this time. "Lavender." I stated calmly and I saw his eyes widen. "What's the matter?" I added and he just shook his head.
"Well, I think he'd be glad to pair up with her since he has feelings for her too." He said with a wink which made me happy. "Great!" I exclaimed and I grabbed my phone. "Whoa whoa, what are you doing?" Louis asked me lowering my phone. "I'm gonna text Lavender that she definitely has to hang out with Niall, what' the prob?" I asked him and it seemed he didn't like the idea.
"I told Niall to do that. And, it's up to Niall when he's gonna ask. He's preparing a song for her and planning to woo her." He explained and I smiled in glee. "HE BETTER ASK HER SOON!!" I yelled in excitement and he chuckled.
"Patience Love." He calmed me down and I nodded.
We arrived to my house right away and I went down and Louis escorted me to the front door.
"Thank you so much for the day." I told Louis giving him a huge hug. He kissed my forehead and winked. "Anytime." He said, but it seemed like his voice lowered and the gleam in his eyes faded, but he tried to be happy.
I stroked his cheek, understanding that he wants to be more than friends. "It'll be okay." I whispered to him so that he could hear. "What will?" He asked tilting his head. I gave him a warm smile. "Nothing. Now, you better go now... Bye!" I said, waving my hands goodbye to him. "Bye, take care!" He said with a smile and waved goodbye to me.
He walked away with his hands in his pocket, humming to himself.
I remembered what we were talking about in our journey back home. Lavender and Niall... I wonder how good those pair will look like.
-A week later, Monday-
I sat on the Park Bench, thinking to myself. My shift has ended and it was already 2 o'clock. I sat there eating Ice Cream, reading my book at the same time. Ashley must be having a hard time in work, she's been looking down lately. I wonder if she's been having problems at home recently.
I think I've been thinking too much lately too since I didn't notice someone sat beside me and tried to call my name. He snapped his fingers and I looked at who he was. One look at him, my face enlightened and my eyes gleamed.
It was Niall. His ocean blue eyes staring into my green eyes. "H-Hey there Lavender." He uttered with a smile, fiddling with his fingers.
"Oh, hey Niall!" I said with a delightful smile. Calm Down Lavender, you shouldn't be too obvious or he'll be freaked out by me. I told myself and tried to stay calm and act cool. "What brings you here?" I asked him with my eyebrow raised, but still with gentleness. "I jut took a walk and found you staring at a blank space and thought you wanted someone to talk to." He explained with his Irish Accent.
"Oh, I didn't mean for you to drop by, it's really fine." I told him raising my hands but he lowered them. "It's fine. I wanted company too." He reassured me and I gave him a smile.
We just talked about each other and introduced ourselves. He was a fun guy after all. His jokes-lame or not- still would make me laugh.
I know I sound annoying but I think he's enjoying as well. I never knew he played Guitar, he was a pro at it. "Do you play any instrument?" He asked me after a long fit of laughter about a story of me when I was a kid. "Well, I play the piano." I told him and his face alighted. "Really now? Sounds cool." He told me and I shook my head with a frown. "Not as cool as playing Guitar." I told him. "So, where do your parents live exactly?" He asked me and I thought for a bit just to be sure.
"Ireland." I told him, knowing what'd he say next. "I'm from Ireland! You're Irish?" He asked me and I nodded. "Originally I was. But we moved to London when I was young. Then, they went back to Ireland, leaving me and my siblings behind." I explained, taking a sip on the Can of Soda we just bought. "That's great." He said, smiling to the ground.
"So, since you play Guitar, I wanna hear a sample the next time we meet." I demanded. He stroked his chin in suspicion. "I'd be glad to." He finally agreed. "If you want, I could sing to you." He told me and I nodded with excitement. "Sure, maybe this Saturday?" He asked me hopefully and I thought about it. "Sure. Around Afternoon, we can." I told him and he gave me a satisfied smile.
I checked the time on my phone and it was already 6 o'clock and it felt like only an hour has passed! "Whoa, time flies fast!" I exclaimed, getting up. "Sorry Ni, but I've gotta go. See you around?" I told him and he frowned. "Yeah, sure love. But, mind if I walk you home?" He offered and I shook my head. "No need. My house is only a few blocks away, it would take you a while if you're gonna go back to your house too." I stopped him before he could start walking.
"Come on, it's fine. I just want you to be safe." He told me with sad eyes. I have to admit, he is sweet. I nodded and we walked to my house. It was a silent but nice walk.
When we arrived to my house, I turned to him when I arrived to my porch. He just looked at the ground while scratching the back of his neck. I could tell he doesn't know what to do nor what to say. I thought it was cute.
I brought him in for a hug and we let go and I looked into his eyes. "Thanks for taking me home." I told him and he gave me a huge grin, his cheeks were red. "No problem. See you!!" He exclaimed running down the stairs of my porch and waving goodbye. I took a deep breath.
I loved hanging out with him. Hope to see him again soon.
A/N: What do you think about those two? I wanted Lavender to be with someone and I thought Niall was the best for her. What do you think of it? :)
