I arrived at her house on time and got out of my car. I walked to her door and Christopher answered the door. "Yes, what do you want?" He asked with hatred in his voice. "I'm here to pick Ashley up." I answered him, giving him a playful smirk.
"Hey, Christopher, move." Ashley appeared beside Christopher and she smiled. "Hey Lou! Where are you taking me?" She asked excitedly and I caught Christopher rolling his eyes. "I'll just leave you two alone." He said and Ashley walked out of the house. He slammed the door shut which made Ashley yelp.
She looked at the door with a disappointed look. "What's up with him?" She mumbled and I just shrugged. "You're... dating him. You must know exactly know what his problem is." I answered and I tried not to make eye contact with her.
"Are you alright Lou?" She asked me and I just nodded. "I'm fine, no worries." I responded with a reassuring smile. Then, I brought out a Big Handkerchief and handed it to her. "What's this?" She asked, holding it up. "Wear it." I ordered.
She looked at me as if I was a crazy man she never knew. "What?" "I said, wear it. Blindfold yourself." I answered calmly. She shrugged but did it eventually.
I gave her a satisfied smile and guided her to the car. She successfully got in, but with a bit of trouble and I closed her door. "Let me forewarn you that this is gonna be a long ride." I told her and she just nodded.
Where is Louis taking me? Seriously, he doesn't need to blindfold me. I mean, I'll eventually see it anyway. It's no use!
I slouched in my seat, crossing my arms. "Hey, Lou. I've got a question..." I said and I didn't know if he looked at me or anything but I could tell he was listening "How is this so special?" I asked, trying to turn my head to His Direction, which I believe his in.
"Well..." He said trailing away. He didn't reply for quite a long time, probably thinking about the best words to tell me. "You'll know when you get there." He finally responded and I just sighed like a kid. "But I want NOW!" I said with the puniest voice I could manage, hitting my fists on my lap like a kid. He chuckled and I could tell he was smiling. He was so cute when he smiled... I blushed.
Hold on, why'd I just blush? I smacked myself. "You're so cute when you blush." He scoffed, I covered my face up. "Your eyes are already blindfolded, no need to cover your face." He said and I shook my head.
I heard him hit the brake and I kept looking around. "Why'd we stop?" I said curiously. "Well, we're here." He stated and got out of the car. I tried to reach for the handle, when suddenly, Louis opened the door for me and I fell on his arms. "Never do that when you're blindfolded." He said and I just nodded.
He slammed the door shut and we walked our way to the spot he wanted us to go to. It feels like we're going up on a hill. But why? I felt a cold breeze and he told me to stop once, which I believe, are on the top.
"Remove your blindfold." He commanded and I obeyed. As I unwrapped the Blindfold and slowly opened my eyes, I saw the view of London from up here. I was right, we were on top of a hill. And it was beautiful. Then, I saw a blanket laid down under a huge tree. "This tree...." I said, glumly remembering what happened here.
He grabbed my hand and looked at me. "Don't try to remember it... And just have fun." He said, with a smile on his face. I smiled and nodded. We ran under the tree and Louis brought out a picnic Basket.
"We're gonna have a picnic on top of a hill?" I asked and he nodded. "What made you think of this?"
"Well..." He started, rubbing his chin. "I made a promise remember? And I swear to never break one!" He answered with a cheeky smile. I giggled and I pinched his nose and he quickly covered it. "What'd you do that for?" He said with a pout. "For being the Greatest Best Friend I've ever had in my Whole Life!" I screamed out and he just laughed.
"Aww, no need to tell me that. I already knew that!" He said and I just rolled my eyes playfully at him. He crossed his arms and imitated me as he rolled his eyes. I shook my head with a smile. "Let's just eat." He said as he opened the basket and brought out a plate filled with Nutella-filled Sandwiches.
We took our pieces and just started munching on our sandwiches as we started chatting. "Do you have any drinks?" I asked him as I looked at my sandwich. It would be better if he brought us drinks. He grabbed the Picnic Basket and brought out a Jug filled with Orange Juice.
"Great!" I exclaimed and chugged on my drink. He just chuckled at how dehydrated I was.
"What? Never became thirsty before? Geez." I said and he just shrugged.
An hour or two had passed and the both of us were arguing about who's gonna get the last slice of Sandwich. We'd spent the whole two hours just chatting and hanging around.
"NO. IT'S MINE." He yelled out, snatching the sandwich. I, of course, snatched it back and stood up. Before breaking into a run, I screamed "NO. IT'S MINEE."
Before I even knew, Louis had stood up and ran. We kept running and running and I ended up hiding behind the huge tree.
Ashley, you're so stupid. Why behind the tree? I thought to myself and before I could even slap myself, Louis appeared beside me. I quickly hid the Sandwich and stuck my tongue out to him.
"It's mine! And I'll never give it to you!" I snapped at him with a smirk and he raised his eyebrows with an evil look. "Oh yeah? Let's see about that!" He exclaimed and started tickling me nonstop.
I kept laughing, and giggling. I laughed harder as he tickled me more, then I finally let go of the sandwich, which was behind my back and in my Hand all along. Louis didn't care if it fell, but he surely enjoyed tickling me.
"Lou, Lou! Stop!!" I kept saying as I tried to gasp for breath. He stopped. As he held my waist, he looked into my eyes. I looked into his too.
At that exact moment, the sun was finally setting. The both of us kept staring into each other's eyes, but quite differently. He tried to lean in closer. And I knew where this was going to... I tried to lean in but then suddenly stop as a picture of Christopher popped into my head.
I cleared my throat and looked down. "Uh... Lou." I said, biting my lips and he stepped away.
"Uh, yeah. Sorry about that... Umm..." He picked the sandwich up awkwardly and showed it to me. "We could cut it into half, if you want." He said, his lips quivering.
"We could cut it into half, if you want." I told her as my lips quivered. She just nodded and went back to our spot. I breathed deeply and looked at the Sunset.
Why in the World did I just try to kiss her? I don't think she'll kiss me back anyway! Not unless she has a boyfriend, of course. But... For just a moment, I felt her leaning in. She wanted to kiss me, but she knew she couldn't. I sighed. This is gonna be harder than I thought.
How am I supposed to get her back? That's just... not really impossible, but difficult to do! I rubbed my forehead and walked back to our spot. I brought out a knife and cut it into half and we both happily ate it.
I felt my phone my Phone vibrate from underneath my pocket, and I quickly grabbed it. A text from Harry:
Hey, Lou! There's a party tonight at Jake's and we have to go! I could tell it's gonna be a blast! -Harry :)
I placed my phone back in my Pocket and looked at Ashley, who finally finished her snacks. "Wanna go to a Party?" I asked, as if nothing happened. She looked like she was thinking deeply. She was just gazing at the corner, like always. I squinted my eyes and snapped my fingers in front of her.
She yelped as I did it and looked at me. "Oh, yes Lou?" She asked as she came back to her senses. "Wanna go to a Party?" I asked again and she smiled. "I would be glad to!" She said happily and I smiled. "But, could I bring Christopher?"
I paused for a minute and nodded, trying my best not to look disappointed. "Sure." I said and she hugged me. "Thanks Lou!!" She said, fixing the Picnic Basket. "Let's go! The sooner the better!" She added and I quickly stood up.
I could tell, tonight's gonna be fun.
