My Work starts next week. So I still have time to spare. I wanted some free time, but it makes me sad to know that Ashley is having a hard time. So, I decided to get myself a job.
I was just sitting in the Living Room watching the hours take by. I just listened to Music from My iPod and read my Book to kill time. It was around 3:30 and boy, time sure is slow.
I decided to get out of the House and get some fresh air. I got my Hoodie and wore my Vans. I walked out of the House and looked around. This is such a quiet and peaceful neighborhood I thought to myself.
I just started to walk down the street and saw a Cafe. I walked in and ordered myself a Coffee and French Toast. I just played some games in My Phone and received a Text Message from Ashley.
Hey babe! Gonna arrive home late, a few of my Friends wanted to go out. I'll bring home some food, I promise. See ya later! - Ashley <3
I shrugged and placed my phone in my pocket. I looked out the window and saw someone very familiar. It's that Louis dude... Ashley's Best Friend. I gulped on the last of My Coffee and ate my French Toast. I paid for my stay and walked out of the Shop.
I walked towards him and tapped his Shoulder. He turned around and flinched. "U-uh. H-Hello there." He sputtered, looking at me.
I was just on my way to this little Cafe until someone came up to Me. I recognized who it was the moment I saw him. It was Ashley's Boyfriend. I flinched because he looked very serious. Does he know? I thought to myself and looked at him. "U-uh. H-Hello there." I sputtered out.
Why did I just stutter? Now, that's not me. I cleared my throat and said "What do you want?".
"Wanna hang out?" He offered and I raised my eyebrow. "Why?" I asked suspiciously. "Nothing. Just thought that we both know Ashley and we're very close with her and I'm her Boyfriend. So, I have to at least to get to know her Best Friend, right?" He explained coolly.
It seemed like he wanted to talk to me about something serious, but oh what the heck. I shrugged and gave him a small smile. "Sure." I said and the both of us walked back to go somewhere else.
We stumbled upon a Coffee Shop with less people. We sat in the Corner and just introduced ourselves. "She talks about you most of the time before." He admitted looking away. "She thinks about you all the time." I told him, my lips quivered.
"How would you know? You can't read her mind." He stated looking at me. "Once someone makes her happy, she always thinks about that person." I explained. "She always does that. She used to talk about her dad a lot.... But now she's even afraid to call him her dad." He added sadly.
He frowned at me. "Hey, Louis. Can you please be honest..." He trailed off as I stared at him. "What is it?" I asked. "You like Ashley right?" He asked, staring into my eyes. I gulped.
"Which like? Of course I like her." I stated calmly. My palms felt sweaty. What would he do if he found out? "I mean, do you love Ashley? Like more than a friend?" He asked once more, emphasizing the word 'love'.
I looked down and nodded. "I'm sorry." I apologized and he rested his head on his hand. "Can I do anything about it?" He said. "Are you m-mad?" I stammered. Seriously, what's up with me? So what if he knows? It's not like he's gonna kill me or something. "Of course not." He replied and looked at me. It was silent. Not the relaxing silent or peaceful silent. It was the deafening silence.
"Could you do me a favor?" He finally said, breaking the Silence. "Sure, what is it?" I said straightening up in my seat. "Please, just please....." He said, drifting away. He sighed and then finally spoke again. "Please don't steal Ashley away from Me." He finished.
I don't think that's gonna be easy... I can't promise that... I love her, and I want her to be mine. But, it's not like I'll steal her, no? I sighed and thought of the proper words to tell him.
"That'll depend on me." I answered him, staring into his eyes. He looked at me and smirked. "Fine then. But if you hurt her, you're dead." He said, pointing a finger to me. "No, if you hurt her, then you're dead." I told him, emphasizing the words 'you' and 'you're'. "Oh, and do me a favor, make her happy. Make her smile every moment of the day... To let her know that she's not alone." I finished and stood up. I left my payment there and left the Coffee Shop.
Guess I have a new rival.
