I woke up around ten o'clock, not too late nor early. The excitement overcame me as I ran around the hotel room waking everyone up.
"COME ON! GET UP! Today is the big day!" I screamed, jumping on the boys. They all got up the same, rubbing their eyes, looking confused.
"Shut up, Justin and go back to bed. You don't even have to be up this early and we certainly don't." Chaz threw a pillow at me and laughed, lying back down.
"Oh give him a break; he's just excited. But for real dude, you're acting like a girl," Ryan said.
"I'm sorry I'm excited to finally start this tour around the world. If you don't like it, then leave," I smirked. They rolled their eyes and ignored me.
My mom gave me a room key to her room, just in case I ever needed something from there. The good thing is that Brooklyn is staying in that room. She hadn't been originally, but for the last couple of days, we let her come so she could see what it was like before we leave for the tour buses.
I ran into the room which was conveniently next door, Scooter's and the others were down the hall. "MOM! BROOK! WAKE UP!" I screamed running in. My mom was already sitting at the counter drinking coffee. She just shook her head and chuckled as I ran to Brooklyn's bed.
I jumped on her bed so my legs were on either side of her. "Hey sleepyhead, wakey wakey," I smiled at her as her eyes slowly opened. She yawned and stretched, finally realizing what was going on.
She giggled. "What are you doing Bieber? And why are you on top of me?"
"Oh so now we're back to last names, Stevens?" I smiled at her. "I thought you would like to wake up to such a perfect face."
"Oh whatever. Get off, you're so fat, it's killing me," she laughed trying to push me off. I shook my head no.
I put my hands next to her head and bent my head down so our foreheads were touching. "I could really get use to this position."
"Oh my god, you're such a boy!" She yelled as I got off her, playfully pushing my back. "And you're mother is right there!" She whisper yelled. "Pattie, how do you handle him?"
My mom laughed and said, "I have no clue how I raised that thing."
"Hey now, I'm right here," I pouted. "Now get ready, we're going out to eat," I said pointing at Brooklyn.
"What about your mommy?" My mom fake pouted. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms over her shoulders from the back and kissed her cheek.
"Oh mom, you can go if you want. I just figured you'd rather to go somewhere with the other adults instead of us kids. Scooter said he'd call to see if you wanted to go out to breakfast."
"Oh whatever, you don't want me to come, you want to spend time with Brooklyn. I get it, I get it," she said so only I would hear. I raised my eyebrows as to tell her to stop. "I'll go with Scooter. Go have fun, I'll see you later." She smiled. "Bye hun."
"See ya mom." As I was walking out the door, I could see Brooklyn going to get ready.
I got back into the hotel room and the boys were still in bed. "Hey guys, get your lazy asses up and get ready! We are going out to get breakfast and if you're not ready by the time I am, we're leaving without you. I get shower first, by the way," I smirked as I ran to the bathroom.
"How are we going to beat you if you're in their first?" Fredo called. I could hear them making noise out there, probably getting their things out. They never passed down an opportunity to get food.
I got out of the shower and Ryan got in. After I was ready, I plopped down on the couch and checked Twitter. Not long after, Ryan joined me.
Eventually, all the guys were sitting in the living room area. "If we're all ready, why are we waiting?" Chaz asked impatiently.
"He's got to wait for his girlfriend," Fredo teased.
"She's not my girlfriend...yet. We can't just leave her; I already told her I would take her with us."
After a couple minutes, my phone vibrated and I saw that Brooklyn had texted me saying she was ready. "Alright, guys, let's go."
"Justin, man, she took longer than all of us combined to get ready," Ryan shoved my arm jokingly. I smiled and shook my head. We went next door to get her. She walked out and let me tell you, even in a big sweatshirt and leggings, she looked good.
"I hope I'm not too bummed out, I didn't want to get dressed up and then change for dance rehearsals," she said, checking herself out.
"Why do you always doubt yourself? You always look good, even in a sweatshirt," I said, wrapping my arm around her shoulders in a friendly way because of her boyfriend. I didn't want to invade that.
After breakfast, we went back to the hotel to pack the rest of our things, knowing we wouldn't have time later. All our bags were by the door and ready to go. It was about twelve and we were leaving soon.
"Hey guys," Brooklyn said walking into our room. We all waved and smiled. "I have to go somewhere before rehearsals, so I'll just meet you there. Do you think you can bring my stuff to the bus?"
"Yeah, we'll go do that now. Where are you going?" Chaz asked.
"Just have to say goodbye to some people," she replied. I nodded my head and she left.
"I wonder if her boyfriend will come to any of the shows," Fredo said. I shrugged my shoulders.
"She said her parents were going to come to some of them. I don't know if she invited him too."
"Well come on," Chaz said, gesturing to bring out the luggage. We needed extra security because the paps and fans were everywhere. We put the bags in a different car to head to the buses and we got in the limo to go to rehearsals. Scooter texted me that it was okay to go now since we had to be checked out of the hotel. We would just hangout out there until one.
After I left the boys, I went over to my friend's house to tell her goodbye one last time and explain to her what I was going to do before I left.
Next, I drove over to Ty's house. I had to finish this before I left.
I knocked on the door and shortly after, he opened it. He wasn't wearing a shirt. "Hey Ty, we need to talk."
He closed the door a little more so only his body was out. "Come on, what is it?" He wasn't sober, I could tell.
"This isn't easy for me to do, Tyler. You have to understand that. Two and a half years is a long time with someone, but with this tour coming up, I won't have time for you, for us. I think we need to call it quits. It's just this long distance thing and trust issues. You never know, right?" In all honesty, I don't trust him at all.
"Babe? Who's at the door?" Some blonde chick opened the door and wrapped her arms around him, proving my point of not trusting him. "Who's she?"
"Who am I? I'm his fucking girlfriend. Who the hell are you?" I spat.
"Tyler, what did she just say? You're cheating on me? What the hell?" She yelled. So she didn't know either. Good thing she spoke up because I was about to let all hell break loose.
"So Tyler, two years didn't mean anything to you? You decide to go and cheat on me? We're done. God, why did I even waste my time on you? You are such a pathetic excuse of a boyfriend; I'm so done."
"I can't believe you Tyler! Really?" The girl shouted, not letting Tyler get a word in. She turned to me. "I'm so sorry! If I would've known he had a girlfriend, I wouldn't have went for him. He never told me! I'm so sorry for ruining your relationship!"
"No, it's okay, it's not your fault. You didn't know that he was playing either one of us. I was about to break up with this douche anyway."
"Come on, babe. Give me another chance, please," Tyler finally spoke up, looking at me. I shook my head.
"No, Tyler, I've given you way too many chances. I'm tired of you always hurting me and then expecting me to forgive you. This is the last straw. Come on, let's get out of here," I said to the girl, who I still didn't know the name of. We turned away and got in my car. "So what's your name?"
"Mae," she replied. "What's yours?"
"Brooklyn," I smiled. "I'm sorry that he used you."
"No, it's fine, it's whatever. I'm sorry he played you! Two years is a long time!"
"It's whatever." I said. "Hey, I kinda have to be at rehearsals right now, but I would love to talk some other time! Here put your number in my phone and I'll call you when I'm in town."
She took my phone and put her number in it. "What do you mean 'when you're in town'?" She asked.
"I'm the opening act for Justin Bieber's tour." She gasped as soon as I said it. I looked at her expectantly.
"No way! You know Justin Bieber?" She yelled.
I nodded my head. "I didn't know you were a fan, jeez," I said rubbing my ear, acting like she hurt it.
"Well of course! He's hot! If only..." She trailed off. I nodded my head for her to continue. "I could see him live."
"Dude, I can totally introduce you to him. I'm going to his rehearsals right now. Do you want to come along?"
"Yes, yes, yes! Well, I mean if you don't mind..."
"Of course not! I wouldn't have offered if I minded," I smiled. I passed the turn to her house and headed to the theater.
"Call Justin," I said to my hands free driving system.
"Calling Justin..." It repeated. The phone rang a couple of times before he picked up.
"Hey sexy beast," someone on the other end answered. I could tell it wasn't Justin. Mae giggled; she probably thought it was Justin.
"Chaz?" I laughed.
"No, this is Justin. What do you want, babe?" He asked.
"I want you to give the phone to Justin," I said back. I could hear Justin shouting in the background.
"No, no, don't hurt me. I didn't say anything to her, I swear. I only picked up the phone to say you were shitting," Chaz said to someone on that side. "Okay, here he is," he laughed.
"Hey Brook, what's up? Sorry, I didn't know Chaz answered my phone. He's a dick," I could almost hear him punching Chaz. "Are you okay?" He asked worriedly.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm on my way now."
"What did Chaz say to you? And by the way, I wasn't shitting, I was talking to Scooter."
"Yeah, whatever Justin," I laughed. "He just answered with 'sexy beast' and then said he was you. I knew it wasn't you, though. Anyway, I hope you don't mind that I bring a friend."
"Yeah, sure that's fine. Just remember to be focused today, since the opening night is tonight."
"I can't believe you're doubting me," I joked. "Trust me, I will be focused." He laughed.
"I don't doubt it," he replied.
"Hey, I'm here. Bye."
"See you in a minute," and with that, he hung up.
"Oh em gee, you guys would make the perfect couple," Mae shouted. "Even though that was only a phone call, I could hear the chemistry in your voices." I rolled my eyes, jokingly.
I parked the car and got out to see paparazzi and fans everywhere. Security walked over to us and helped us get through. They were all yelling the usually things, like 'Brooklyn, are you and Justin dating?' and other things about the tour. We didn't stop for pictures, I looked bad anyway.
Once we got inside, I saw the whole crew. Justin walked over to us and smiled. "Hello, I'm Justin." He said to Mae. She just stood there, shocked.
"Uhm, I'm uh, Mae," she stuttered out. She smiled at him for awhile and he looked away awkwardly. He was used to fans staring at him, but she looked frozen like that.
"Come on, I'll introduce you to some of the others," I said breaking the silence. I grabbed her arm and pulled her with me. We walked over to Ryan, Chaz, and Fredo. I introduced them and did the same with Pattie, Scooter, and some other crew members. She was shocked and I knew this would probably be the best day of her life.
"Justin, can I talk to you before we start?" I asked him. He nodded and we walked over to somewhere more private. "Uhm, well, she is obviously a huge fan of yours, so do you think you could surprise her with tickets to tonight's concert?" I asked.
"Of course, Brooklyn. She can even have a backstage pass," he smiled.
"Thanks," I smiled slightly.
"So how long have you guys been friends?" He asked as we were walking back to the middle of the room to practice.
"Actually, I just met her today. I was going to Tyler's house to break up with him and found out he was cheating on me with her," I sighed.
He gasped. "I'll kill him," he said, looking angrier.
"Calm down, it's okay," I said, softly grabbing his arm. He let out a sigh and shook his head in confusion.
"If she was hooking up with your boyfriend, why are you being so nice to her?"
"Well she didn't know we were dating. He was lying about everything, but it's whatever. I'm over it."
"Well, I'm proud of you," he smiled. "Okay guys, lets take it from the beginning," he said to everyone. We all got into positions and I started my opening song. I sang a total of three songs and then Justin came on and sang one with me. Then I danced for two, then left and that was it, he did the rest.
After I was done, I went and sat with Mae, who had been sitting in amazement the entire time. She smiled at me then said, "this is amazing. Thank you so much!" She wrapped me in a hug and smiled big.
"Hey, no problem, you seem super nice, so why not?" I smiled back.
When Justin was done with practicing his songs, he walked over to us. "Hey, Mae, right?" She nodded her head. "I have an extra ticket, first row and a backstage pass, if you want them," he smiled.
"Oh my god, of course!" She yelled jumping up. "Thank you so much! Oh my god!"
He laughed. "No problem, it's totally okay. I hope you enjoy it, but we have to get going to the sound check. We'll see you at the concert."
"Can I get a picture with you after the concert?" She asked.
"Sure thing. Ryan will take you home to get ready. Come on Brooklyn." I waved goodbye to her and walked off with Justin. "After sound check, you need to start getting ready for the meet and greet."
"I'm going with you?" I asked excitedly.
"Well, of course," he smiled. I was jumping up and down when we entered the sound booth.
After that was over, I went back into my dressing room for hair and make up. I got dressed and looked in the mirror.
I smiled huge, excited to finally be performing. There was a knock at the door. "Come in!" I shouted at the unknown guest. The door opened and I saw Justin staring at me through the mirror.
"Whoa, y-you look uh amazing, gorgeous," Justin stuttered. I smiled at him through the mirror and then turned to look at him properly.
"You don't look too bad yourself, Bieber." He smiled at me, showcasing his perfectly straight and white teeth.
"Well, come on, we have to go to the meet and greet."
"I am supposed to wear my outfit for tonight to the meet and greet, right?" I asked just to make sure.
"Yeah, you can if you want," he smiled, motioning over to the door so I would follow him. I grabbed my purse that had some sharpies and paper in it, just in case.
When we got to the tables, Justin pulled out my seat for me and then positioned himself next to me. There were a lot of security guards surrounding us. Scooter and Pattie were sitting on one side of the table talking to the some of the other crew members. Every once in awhile, they would glance over at us, making sure we are behaving and doing everything right.
The fans started to walk up and we got busy signing things for them. I didn't think I would sign many things, but surprisingly, most of them asked for my signature. We took a lot of pictures with the fans and by the time it was over, my hand was cramping up.
Justin smiled over at me as I leaned down in my chair and let out a sigh. "You ready?" He asked. "It's time to finish getting ready for the concert, you know do the little, last minute adjustments."
I stood up and walked toward the door, Justin following closely behind. I went back to my dressing room and my makeup and hair stylist jumped on me, fixing me up for the performance. I put on deodorant and walked out the door, bumping into Scooter on the way out.
"Hey Brooklyn, you're on in ten," he smiled. I tried to smile back, but when he said that, I got really nervous. "Hey, don't worry, you're going to do great. Just do it like we do in practice," he said, obviously seeing the nervousness on my face.
"Thanks Scoot, I'll try. I'm just scared they won't like me."
"Oh, whatever, everyone likes you. Don't worry about that at all. This show is going to rock!"
I smiled and walked to the group. We did the pre-show ritual and went to our positions.
"Hey Brook, you're going to do great out there," Justin smiled. I smiled back.
"Thanks, but I'm just warming them up for you." He rolled his eyes playfully and laughed, walking off to where he would enter. I got into position and waited for my cue.
After I was finished, I ran off the stage all sweaty. Scooter and Pattie were right there, smiling wide. "You did fantastic!" Pattie exclaimed, enveloping me in a hug.
"Oh, Pattie, thank you so much!"
"Do you want to go out into the crowd and pick the one less lonely girl with me?" She asked me.
"Yes, I would love to!" I said happily, even though I wasn't too sure of what that meant. On our way out, she explained the idea to me.
We went into the middle of the crowd and picked one lucky girl that would get onstage with Justin. She freaked out when she saw us, then started crying when we told her the news. She followed us backstage and got in her position. Justin's dancers pulled her out and Justin sang to her. She was crying the whole time. It felt great to make her so happy.
Justin thanked the crowd and said he loved them. Then, he ran off the stage and wrapped his arms around me. He spun me around while saying, "I told you, you would do great!"
I smiled and said, "You did amazing Justin, but you are really sweaty and you stink. Please put me down."
He smirked at me and wrinkled his nose up. "Well I'm not the only one who stinks," he said, wiggling his eyebrows at me. I playfully hit his chest as he put me down.
Ryan and Chaz came running up and congratulated us, along with Fredo and some of the other members of the crew.
"Alright, who's ready for the after party?" Chaz shouted. Justin looked at me with hopeful eyes, and I nodded my head yes. He smiled and engaged Ryan and Chaz in a conversation.
