I walked along the street with my sketch book in the crook of my arm. I looked around, taking in my surroundings. I wanted to find something interesting to draw. I looked around and saw a little cafe. The tables outside had green and white checkered tablecloths and different jars on it. It wasn't too unique but the view from it was amazing. The cafe was on the river. The blue water shimmering in the sun. I sat down outside and pulled out a pencil and opened up to a clean sheet of paper and started to lightly sketch. A waitress came out and I ordered a tea and a turkey sandwich and continued with my work. Once I had sketched the outline of the water and the sun and everything else I pulled out my charcoal paints and started to color the picture. My food came a I stopped my picture to eat. I ate slowly and then once I was done I picked up my book and continued.
I was nearly finished when I spotted a boy. He was probably about my age. He had short hair and a few tattoos. He wore a tank-top and some basketball shorts. He was a bit sweaty from jogging. He was kinda cute I had to admit. He stopped and looked out over my view, blocking me. I waited for him to move but he didn't.
"Hey mate!" I called out. "Can you move?" I asked. He turned around and spotted me.
"Sorry mate, didn't realize you were drawing that," he said as he walked over to me. "Lovely view, I can see why you chose to draw it," he said as he looked down at my work. "That's really amazing," he said.
"Thanks," I said as I looked up at him. I set my book and chalk down and stuck my hand out. "I'm Zayn Malik," I introduced myself.
"Nice to meet you Zayn, I'm Liam Payne," he said as he shook my hand. Just then Liam's phone started going off. "One sec I gotta take this," he said as he answered his phone. "This is Liam...Yea, no I'm off right now... yea I'll have to run home real quick...oh ok I'll be there as soon as I can," I listened in as Liam talked on the phone. He hung up the phone looking concerned.
"Anything wrong?" I asked.
"No, just somethings come up at work," he said. "I have to run, hopefully we can see each other again" he said as he started to jog away. I stared for a bit then realized my car was just down the street.
"Hey Liam!" I called after him. He stopped and turned around. "Do you need a ride?" I yelled. Liam shook his head.
"No thanks mate, the fire station is just down the road here!" he yelled back and waved as he continued running down the road.
I watched as he ran up to the fire station then a few seconds later the fire truck went driving by blaring its horn. I smiled as Liam passed driving the truck. He waved from the truck and honked the horn at me. I really hoped I would be seeing him again.
