When they arrived back at the tent, the four of them sat in a small circle. Rowena shared her idea first. "I think we should drive the wizards out of hiding. Create a place where they can practice magic, and meet each other, with out worrying about the people."
Godric shared next. "Well, I was thinking we stay in hiding, but make an environment for the witches and wizards to stay safe with one another.
Even Helga had a say in this. "I say we help the people. We could show them what we are capable of, and tell them that we aren't going to hurt them. We could become allies." Everyone raised their eyebrows at this. They knew Helga was kind, but to go to that extent...
"That sounds like a great idea!" Godric chimed in, in mock celebration. "And even when they distrust us and kill the rest of our friends in their sleep, we'll say 'No problem!' and everything will be just fine!"
Helga looked as though he had a point and muttered something that sounded like, "Just an idea...never thought..."
Salazar explained his theory last. "Lets say we build a magical army. We could kill their family members, and teach them who's boss." He looked around at them all. Godric, Rowena, and Helga looked thunderstruck. Then the three burst out in fits of laughter.
"Honestly, Salazar, you think that would work?" Rowena gasped between giggles. "We're trying to improve the community, not destroy it, if you haven't noticed."
In the end , the four decided to sleep on it. "If only there was a way to warn children of whats out there, before they're to old..." Helga whispered as the sunlight faded to moonlight, and the wind began to howl.
That night, Godric slept badly. He dreamed he was a fireball, being throw by his father into a giant hole filled with the people. Then his father was saying he should have saved them, but Godric tried to tell him he couldn't, and anyways the whole thing was ridiculous because they were the people. Salazar said they deserved it, but then faded into a swirling mass of fog. Helga's voice crept its way into the dream. It kept repeating, "if only there was a way... warn the children..too old." Rowena told him she wanted to practice her magic in peace, but she couldn't because the people were following her out of the hole. Then he was falling, through the mass of fog Salazar had turned into a while ago.
He woke very suddenly, dead cold and breathing in sharp, sudden breaths. He had just realized something. Turning onto his side he shook Rowena violently for a minute before she woke with a start and said groggily, "My God, Godric, what's the matter with you?"
"I've got it," He said excitedly. "I know what we're going to have to do."
