Immediately, Rowena and Helga rushed to escort them back into the castle. "Where should we put him?" Salazar asked quietly.
"We could put him in the Hospital Wing," Rowena suggested.
Minutes later, Salazar, Helga, and Rowena were sitting in a circle around Godric, who was sitting upright in a small cot in the Hospital Wing. Helga rushed off to find a Bone Regrowth Potion, while Salazar magicked his leg into a tight strap. "So tell us what happened," Rowena demanded.
He sighed. "Salazar and I went off to do some exploring in the forest. To find out what was there, or what wasn't. I suppose we went a bit further than we meant to, because suddenly it got real quiet, and the forest got real dark. Then this-this-this creature picked us up upside down, and started carrying us somewhere. After a while, it dropped us. That was when my leg broke, from the fall," he gestured uselessly at his mangled thigh. "Want to continue?" he asked Salazar.
"Sure." Salazar said. " They were acromantulas, actually." He paused here because Helga had a hand clamped tightly over her mouth, and Rowena looked horrified. "It said something, only we couldn't tell cause of all the clicking. Then I guess it called out it's family, because next thing we were surrounded. Then they started chasing us, so I grabbed Godric and Apparated to the edge of the forest."
"But we did find out something good!" Godric interrupted. "There's a huge herd of centuars, and I think we saw a unicorn too!"
"One thing though," Salazar said. "There are wild creatures living in there, like werewolves, hippogriffs, and obviously acromantulas. I think the forest ought to be out of bounds to the future students."
"I also think we should make Hogwarts Apparate-proof," Helga suggested. "So that students can't try apparating, and in case someone sneaks into Hogwarts, they shouldn't be able to escape like you two did." She said slyly.
"Oh, and maybe round up the Hippogriffs-"
"And we should probably make peace with the centuars-"
"You guys-" Godric said suddeny, his voice tensed and frightened.
"Not now, we're on a role-"
"You guys, I'm serious-"
"Hold on! Let me write this down-"
"YOU GUYS!" Godric yelled, his eyes wide and his hand grasping his wand.
"What? Whats the matter Godric?"
"There's someone-or something- outside," he said slowly and quietly.
As one, the four whipped around and stared out the rain-washed window. Indeed, a dark figure was approaching the castle with haste through the thick swirl of rain and fog. It stepped up to the the great oak front doors, and knocked slowly and loudly on the wooden surface.
