Two days later found the team relaxing under the shade of a large beach tree on the side of the lake. The castle stood tall and proud above them. "Isn't it beautiful?" Rowena asked as she admired the castle.
"It sure is," Salazar replied. "You know, I think this is coming off real nicely."
"The people haven't found us-" Helga said.
"And we're having fun with it too," Godric finished. They continued to sit calmly while the morning sun rose steadily above them. "I'm going to finish putting away supplies," Godric said. He sat up, streched and yawned widely, and strode off around the side of Hogwarts.
Then, distantly, they heard a shout of, "Wingardium Leviosa!" There were a few clanks and clatters, and then Godric yelled, "Wha-?!"
Salazar, Helga, and Rowena exchanged a look. They stood up abrubtly and jogged towards the spot Godric had vanished to. An astonishing scence met their eyes. "WHAT ON EARTH, GODRIC?!" they screamed. He was jostling around on a broom above them, at least ten feet in the air.
"I-I don't know how I did it, all I wanted was to magick the supplies up-" he gestured to a few buckets, mops and rags, "-and then this broom flew up, and-and I grabbed it-" Rowena rolled her eyes "-and now, well..yeah." He finished lamely, and looked down at them.
Rowena seemed to be having a mental arguement with herself. Then, without warning, she grabbed a small stone laying on the ground at her feet, and chucked it as hard as she could at Godric. "YOU ARE INSANE!! WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU GRAB IT? I MEAN, HONESTLY, DO YOU HAVE NO BRAINS?!" She continued to hurl pebbles and rocks at him, but the rocks weren't hurting him. Instead, Godric was lunging for each and every rock she threw.
Suddenly, Salazar had an idea. "And it's Gryfinndor versus Ravenclaw! First match of the season and Gryfinndor is sure putting up a fight! Ravenclaw is- hey, shouldn't that be against the rules?! She's throwing things at him! Anyways It's Gryfinndor streaking up the pitch with Ravenclaw close on his tail-" he called as Rowena grabbed another broomstick and weaved her way towards him, still chasing Godric with the rocks.
Catching on, Helga rushed over to the mass of leftover brooms and buckets. Pointing her wand at six buckets, she shouted, "Wingardium Leviosa!" Helga directed three buckets to one end of the pitch, and three to the other end.
Still being tailed by Rowena, Godric chucked a few stones from his pockets at the floating buckets in his end. They made loud rattling noises as the rocks made it into the buckets. "And it's ten points to Gryfinndor! What a nice throw there by Gryfinndor- by Gryfinndor..Gryfinndor...CHASER!" Salazar yelled, eyeing Rowena still chasing Godric up and down the pitch.
Rowena grinned at Helga and tossed some stones into her buckets. "Twenty points to Ravenclaw!" Salazar shouted. "It's Twenty-ten to Ravenclaw! I really-whats this? A Snidget bird is chasing Ravenclaw chaser down the pitch!"
Helga began to laugh, as Rowena screamed and went into a dive. A snidget bird, its golden feathers ruffling everywhere in the wind, was pecking at her feet. Godric saw this and streamed after her.
"Come here, you!" he called. In one, swift movement, Godric's fingers closed around the Snidget, and salazar screamed, "I DON'T BELIEVE IT! ACTUALLY I DO BASED ON THE WAY RAVENCLAW WAS PLAYING, BUT I STILL DON'T BELIEVE IT! GRYFINNDOR HAS WON THE FIRST- the first... the first-" He listened to Rowena's calls of 'quit it! quit it! Stop gloating! quit it!' and remember the snidget bird. Quit-it-snidget, "-THE FIRST QUIDDITCH MATCH!" Helga cheered loudly as Godric and Rowena landed smoothly on the grass. They all smiled at each other, then started laughing.
