“So you don’t like us or what?” Niall says, grabbing my hand and pulling me into his room. He locks the door and turns to face me.
“I do like you guys, you’re all really nice.” I defend.
“So why are you lying to us? What is your real name?” Niall hisses at me. Then something seems to click. “You’re Diana!”
“Don’t tell Zayn, please!” I beg, tears roll down my cheeks. “It’s complicated. I really don’t want him to know it’s me, he’ll want to know why I tried to kill myself and that’s something I don’t want to dig up!”
“Fine, I won’t tell him, but you have to tell him someday. He’s worried you’ve actually killed yourself!” Niall gives in. “You can trust me you know, just tell me what happened.”
I let out a sigh. Was I ready to tell someone? Hell no. I guess I’ll just give him the edited version and hope it’s enough to satisfy his curiosity. “I-I loved someone a lot and they betrayed me. I put every ounce of trust I had in them and they just hurt me, they left me. They even knew Mum left me and knew I had trouble trusting. They took advantage and left me scarred and depressed.” I admit. More tears roll down my cheeks and I look up from the ground. Niall’s jaw drops and his blue eyes widen in shock.
He thinks for a minute before opening his mouth. “Okay, I know how hurt you must be. I’ll make you a deal, if you trust me I will make sure you’re the happiest person alive and I’ll make sure you forget that arsehole. Then once you’ve moved on you can tell Zayn everything. He’ll understand.” Niall informs me. I nod and he pulls me into a hug.
“Deal,” I say into his chest.
“I know it’s easier said than done t’ move on, but I promise you I will help you move on.” Niall promises.
“Thank you,” I say. We pull back from the hug and I give him a smile.
“Want t’ go shopping?” Niall asks me and I agree quickly.
Niall was a really great guy, we went shopping and then we went to a coffee shop where Niall told me about this girl he’s currently dating. I’m the first person he’s told other than his family. I can tell Niall will be a close friend like Abbie is.
The time we’ve spent together has made me feel so much happier; I actually forgot my past for half an hour.
“I can’t wait t’ get back t’ the UK so I can see her again, y’know,” He tells me and I nod.
“It’s so cute that you’ve finally found someone, she’s really lucky.” I tell him and he blushes which makes me giggle quietly.
“I just don’t know how t’ tell the boys.” Niall tells me. I give him a small smile.
“Just tell them. They’ll be fine with it, you’re all like brothers.” I assure him and he nods.
“I will tell them tonight, hopefully.” Niall says with a nod. I’m grateful that he isn’t pushing me to tell Zayn, he’s giving me time.
“I know they will be happy for you.” I tell him.
“I have a girlfriend!” Niall announces when we get home. I look at everyone’s expressions. They’re all happy, except for Zayn’s. He looks hurt, jealous even. Why? “Her name is Kate, I was gonna tell you when we got back t’ the UK.” After those words left Niall’s mouth, Zayn seems to relax a bit.
Zayn suddenly stands up and leaves the room.
“What’s wrong with him?” Niall asks no one in particular.
“He’s probably having a nap; we do have a concert in two hours.” Harry tells Niall while pulling out his phone.
“Oh! Niall, I need you to help me practice!” I say. Niall nods and I follow him to his room where he keeps my guitar. Before every concert he’s been teaching me their songs on acoustic guitar and electric guitar so I don’t have to read off some screen until I learn them.
Soon enough, I’m standing on stage in front of thousands of screaming fans. The boys still have to come on stage. I look around and face Beth.
“Where are they?” I ask her and she shrugs.
“They’re supposed to be on now.” She says. I can just about hear her over the fans.
“Please say they don’t do what Justin Bieber did.” I groan and turn around to face the bands.
“Start playing music.” Someone instructs me through my earpiece. I know for certain Beth and Jack heard that too. I turn to face them and they both nod. Beth then mouths.
“Three, two, one.”
We begin to play the music for Up All Night and the boys run on stage. The fans went crazy. Some even started throwing items of clothing and phones onto the stage. Normally, they wait for the third or fourth song before chucking stuff at them. Wow, they’re the craziest fans I have seen so far.
When the concert had finished, we all went backstage to the dressing rooms to eat something and to just relax for a bit. I am tired and hungry and I couldn’t imagine how the boys felt since they spent most time on stage running about like five year olds.
“That was great guys!” Harry yells and then picks me up and spins me around. He only does this because he knows I don’t like it. I hate heights and I hate it when my feet aren’t touching the ground.
“Put me down, Harry!” I scream and he places me down. I glare at him to only receive a smirk in return.
“Did you have fun?” I ask Harry and he nods.
“The fans were crazy though,” He comments and I laugh.
“I never knew they were that crazy.” I say and roll my eyes. “Teenagers.”
“Hey! You’re a teen too.” Harry complains.
“And so are you.” I retort.
“Soon I won’t be.” He says and grins.
“Same here, bring on the twenty-eighth of December!” I cheer and he glares at me. “Aw, you’ll be the only teen.” I then stand on tip-toes to attempt to mess his hair up before running off. I stand behind Niall.
“Protect me, Niall!” I scream.
“What the hell are you doing?” Beth asks me.
“Hiding from Harry, I messed his hair up.” I tell her and she throws her head back and laughs.
“Well done, Leah.” She says through her laughter.
Suddenly, I’m lifted from the ground and thrown over what seems to be Harry’s shoulder.
“Harry!” I screech and kick my legs about.
“You messed up my curls.” He whines and then spins around.
“I thought Zayn was the vain one!” I protest.
“Hey!” Zayn calls out.
“Sorry, but it’s true.” I reply. “Harry, please put me down. You know I hate heights.”
“No.” Harry says firmly.
“You lanky shit,” I curse.
“I heard that.” He says and then finally puts me down. I face him and glare at him. I pout like I did when I was eight and he smiles at me and then turns away and walks over to the table full of food.
I sit down on the sofa and end up sitting in the middle of Louis and Beth. While I try and have a conversation with Beth, Louis is poking my cheek constantly.
“Fuck off, Louis!” I snap and he laughs. I glare at him.
“You know you love it when I annoy you.” He says and then pulls a silly grin. I turn back to face Beth.
“I was thinking of going shopping tomorrow, do you wanna come?” She asks and I nod.
“Sounds fun,” I say and she smiles.
“I think you should get your hair dyed, dye it all blonde. I also think you should have a full fringe. It’ll look good on you.” She suggests and I agree.
“I need a change anyway.” I add.
