I slowly got up and peeked out of my closet. Nathan wasn't in my room so I assume he went home. I got up and walked into the kitchen thinking no one was home but Dylan was standing there making pancakes. I quickly turned around so he wouldn't see my tongue.
Dylan: Morning! Want some pancakes?
Dylan: Why do sound weird?
I shrugged my shoulders and started walking up the stairs, but Dylan caught me and spun me around. His jaw dropped to the floor. His expression then turned into anger.
D: Stella what happened?
Me: I thel dun da theps
D: You did not fall! You have a black eye blood on your face and your tongue is swollen and I'm pretty sure there are more bruises. We are going to the emergency room.
He pulled me to the car and helped me in the passenger seat. The car ride was silent and I could feel him fuming. He knows what happened and wants me to say it. What is he going to tell the emergency room people??
We got to the emergency room and he carried me in and someone got me a wheelchair. They brought me and Dylan into a room and Dylan explained to them that I was drunk and I must have fell down the steps.
They gave me ice for my tongue and gave me pain medication because I had bruised ribs also. Nathan must have done that when I was knocked out.
They told Dylan I needed to be watched closely for 24 hours to make sure I didn't have to much blood loss from my tongue.
I fell asleep in the car and woke up in my bed with Dylan sitting on a chair looking at me.
When he saw I was awake he smile and handed me a glass of water.
Me: Dylan you don't have to stay I am fine.
At least I could talk.
D: What really happened?
D: when I got your call and came up stairs Nathan told me you were asleep. Were you?
Me: In a way.
D: What do you mean?
D: Stella tell me! IF THAT BASTARD IS HITTING YOU, YOU ARE DUMPING HIS ASS AND IF YOU DONT I AM TELLING THE POLICE WHAT REALLY HAPPENED!
I was scared he never yelled at me like that before.
Me: I was drunk and Nathan wanted to do the nasty and I tried to scream and he told me hed beat me if I screamed and I hit your speed dial hoping you could save me but he punched me in the jaw and told you I was sleeping when I was actually knocked out. He must have his me and threw me in the closet when he was done.
D: I'm going to kill him.
Me: NO! I will break up with him but you have to stay with me because he is going to do something to me if I'm by myself.
D: I have to be with Ashley though.
Me: Ok then you can leave I am fine. I will dump him and let him beat me again. Not like you care.
D: How dare you say that! I love you with all my heart and care about you so much!
Me: you obviously didn't last night when you were to focused on fucking Ashley on my couch that you couldn't even read the signs of what was going on!
D: YOU AREN'T MY RESPONSIBILITY! YOU ARE 20 YEARS OLD IM NOT YOUR FUCKING DAD!
Me: get out
D: Stella don't
Me: GET OUT I HATE YOU. YOU ARE A PEICE OF SHIT!
Me: Go fuck your slut while I stay here and get killed by my psycho boyfriend!!!!!!
With the slam of a door he left. HE didn't care and it was all HER fault.
I got up and got dressed in sweats ad a tank top. I called Nathan and told him to meet me at the coffee shop down the street. I put on my converse, grabbed my phone and a couple bucks and left.
I saw Nathan sitting at a table and went and sat by him. He just glared at me.
Me: We're done.
N: Haha what?
Me: You heard me. We are over. You don't deserve me and you need to get some help.
N: You're going to regret this bitch.
Nathan stormed out so I got up and ordered a coffee. The dude turned around and I couldn't believe it. It was Shawn. Dylan him and I used to be best friends but Dylan and Shawn don't talk anymore and I never found out why.
Me: Oh my god I haven't seen you in forever! I would hug you but the counter is in the way.
Shawn: I get off of work in 3 minutes, want to catch up?
Me: Yeah. That'd be amazing!
Shawn: Double espresso heavy cream with a caramel drizzle?
Me: you still remember?
Shawn: We used to be friends not to long ago. Of course I remember.
He made me my coffee and we sat down. He wasn't as terrible looking as I remembered.
