The front door slammed, my eyes snapping open. I reached out for Michael only to find he was still beside me, his mouth open, snoring lightly. I slid on a clean pair of underwear and an oversized shirt over my head and crept out of my room closing the door behind me. I saw mum stumble down the hallway groaning as she went into the bathroom closing the door behind her.
I dashed to the lounge room and picked up mine and Michael’s shirts and shoes before running back to my room hoping Michael was still asleep. He wasn’t.
“Where’d you go?” he asked pulling his underwear on.
“Uh mum’s home…”
“What’s the big deal?”
“Yeah, uh… She doesn’t like you… says you look like a druggie,” I replied awkwardly as he stood up.
“So if she sees me…?” he asked walking over to me.
“You’re dead, I’m dead, we’re all dead,” I said forcing a smile.
“Shit,” he cursed, wrapping his arms around my waist.
“I guess I’m going to have to live in your closet or something until your mum leaves the house or something,” he suggested cheekily.
“Or you could climb out the window.”
“I’m not so keen on that idea. I’d rather stay here with you,” he chuckled, closing the door and pushing me against it. “So I can do this,” he said leaning down and kissing me, his tongue exploring my mouth.
“Katelin!” mum yelled. “You awake?”
I hastily pushed Michael off me, catching my breath.
“Katelin?” mum called again.
“I’ll be out in a sec,” I yelled back.
“Shit,” Michael whispered running for his jeans and pulling them on. Once they were on I tossed him his shirt and shoes.
“Window,” I whispered once his shoes were on and his belt was in his hand. He rushed to the window and pulled back the curtain to reveal the window.
“No flyscreen,” he mused climbing out the window.
“Wait,” I murmured running over to the window.
“What?” Michael asked confused.
I grabbed his face and brought his lips to mine in a chaste kiss.
“Bye babe. You’re coming back later though aren’t you?” I asked remembering our conversation from early last night.
“Absolutely, you still have my jacket and I might need a hug,” he winked.
“Good,” I smirked quickly shutting the curtains on him and running out of my room. “Mum?” I called.
“Lounge room,” she replied.
“Hey, when did you get home?” I asked casually walking into the room to see her sitting on the couch with a cup of tea.
“About ten minutes ago,” she replied holding up Michael’s jacket. Shit. “Who’s is this?”
“Michael’s, I borrowed it last night because it was cold,” I lied.
“What happened to the clothes that were flung around the room?”
“What clothes?” I asked. “How much did you drink last night?”
“What does me drinking have to do with this?” she asked angrily.
“Because there were no clothes ‘flung around the room’, you’re obviously still drunk.”
She stood up and sighed taking her tea with her to the kitchen, she popped two aspirins and took them with her tea.
“I’m going to bed,” she muttered tipping the last of her tea down the sink and making her way to her room slamming the door closed behind her.
I got Michael’s jacket and myself a glass of water before heading back to my room to find Michael lying on my bed playing with my phone.
“What are you doing?” I laughed quietly, locking the door.
“I came back for a hug, my jacket and your phone number,” he grinned.
I walked over to the bed and snatched my phone from his hands, climbing over him to straddle his waist.
“I guess I did promise you my number and say you could come over my house whenever,” I sighed unlocking my phone and handing it to him.
“Thank you for that by the way and now I don’t need to use the front door,” he snickered.
“Just give me your phone loser.”
I felt awkward leaving the last updated chapter as smut so have so cutsey #Matelin.
