I saw a comment about how Brads the "bad guy" but honestly, I love The Vamps. I just randomly picked Brad as the characters name and then I was like maybe I should incorporate The Vamps. Keep in mind this is still a 5sos fanfic! Obviously this character isn't Brad lol*
I looked between Emily's frightened face and Brad's. Then it suddenly clicked. This was her old boyfriend. The one she was crying about. The one who hurt her.
"Your Brad?" I didn't mean to shout. Wait, actually I did.
"Ya, and you are?" He raised a brow at me.
I took a step in front of Emily to protect her. Brad was at least a foot shorter than me so he had took look up at me.
"Luke, Luke Hemmings. Now I suggest that you leave before I beat the shit out of you." I hissed through my teeth.
Brad narrowed his eyes. "Emily who is this guy?"
I turned to Emily to see that she had tears in her eyes.
"H-he's my boyfr– I mean friend." She hiccuped. I let out a sigh of disappointment. I really wish she called me her boyfriend.
"Alright, well your friend here is pissing me off." Brad pushed me out of the way and walked over to Emily. "I've missed you baby."
Maybe I should just leave her. She obviously doesn't like me anymore. Why try so hard for nothing.
"So you guys know each other?" Tristan said breaking the silence.
"Ya, she was the girl I told you guys about. The one that moved and it broke my heart." Brad joked.
Brad turned back to Emily and wrapped his arms around her. She stared at me with wide eyes but I just shrugged and mouthed 'your problem'.
I walked back to the boys and reached for a beer.
"Where were you?" Calum asked.
"With Emily and Brad." I rolled my eyes.
"Brad? He's here?" Calum exclaimed.
"Ya he is actually. And he's all over her."
"What the fuck? You just left her with him?"
"Well he wouldn't let me anywhere near her. I'm not her boyfriend."
"Ugh you're such an idiot." Calum said as he walked off in search for Emily.
He left me. With Brad and he didn't even care. He promised he'd protect me.
"Hey, let's get out of this lame party and go somewhere to talk, yeah?" Brad raised a brow at me.
He didn't even give me a moment to say anything and started dragging me towards the back door. This could end up really bad. Like extremely bad and I don't want to leave with him.
"Brad let go of me." I said in a shakeup voice. Brad turned to me and was about to say something when suddenly he was punched in the jaw. I gasped and looked over my shoulder to see Calum breathing heavily whilst looking down at his bruised knuckles.
"If you ever touch Emily again you'll get something much worse than that punch." Calum spat out angrily.
Brad got off the floor while holding his jaw I pain. "Emily who is this freak?" Brad exclaimed.
Calum stepped in front of me but I pressed my hand to his shoulder telling him it was alright.
"He's my brother. Just leave Bradley. Please. You'll get in more trouble."
Brad stared at me with regret filling his eyes. "Don't you love me?"
It was like a kick to the stomach. "I did. Just go."
Tears filled my eyes as I watched Brad walk out of the house.
"Are you alright?" Calum asked.
"Are you?" I smiled.
"I'm fine. Come on."
Calum dragged me back to the kitchen and I saw Tristan and his band mates.
"Wait, I'll be with you in a second." Calum nodded his head and walked off to his friends.
"Hi, is everything alright? Where's Brad?"
I dropped my head. "He left. Maybe you should go talk to him." I told them. They nodded their heads.
"It was nice meeting you Emily." James said before they all left.
With a heavy sigh I walked over to the boys.
"That was stressful." I spoke to myself. I reached for a beer but someone's hand stopped me.
"Don't drink that." I looked up to see Luke.
I raised a brow. "Why?"
"Because," he started as he scratched the back of his neck, "I'd rather say sorry to a sober Emily then a drunk Emily."
Luke weaved me through the masses of people until we got to his room. I took a seat on his bed and took my time and looked around his room. He had a bunch of posters and guitars on his walls.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" I asked.
Luke took a seat beside me and reached for my hand, lacing our fingers together.
"I should've left out like that. I-I just couldn't help feel jealous."
I ran my thumb over Luke's knuckles thoughtfully. "Jealous of what?"
"Brad, he was all over you and I couldn't do anything." He whispered as he dropped his head.
"You could've if you wanted." I told him.
"Ya I know. It would've just made sense if I was your boyfriend."
This was all my fault. I kept pushing him away and now we're nothing. That was such a stupid move for me to make. All I want is Luke.
I rested my head on his broad shoulders and placed a kiss against his jaw.
"It's my fault. I was scared and I pushed you away. I don't think I've ever met someone so amazing like you Luke. I'm sorry for hurting you for the billionth time. You don't deserve it."
"Thanks. That means a lot. So," he turned to look in my eyes, "what are we?"
I shrugged. "Whatever you like."
Luke smiled before leaning forward and capturing my lips with his own. I could feel my stomach drop when he deepened the kiss my cupping my face in his hands.
"Luke," I said after I pulled away, breathing heavily, "I want you to know Brad was and always will be part of my old life. I'm done with him."
Luke pecked my lips. The feeling of his lips against mine is overwhelming.
"Oh, I know. I wouldn't believe for a second that you'd want to be with that asshole."
I laugh and wrap my arms around his waist. "Exactly."
"So what do you wanna do know?" Luke asked me.
I let out a yawn and covered it with my hand. "I'm too tied to do anymore partying."
Luke chuckled. "Why don't you sleep then?" He told me while rubbing my back.
"Will you stay with me?"
I watched Luke nervously bit his lip. "If you want me too."
"I want you too."
I pulled myself away from Luke and lay down. He lay down beside me. For a while we sat there not saying anything.
"Are you still tired?" He whispered.
I turned and looked at him. His hair was messed up and his eyes looked like a deeper shade of blue.
"Come close." I told him. Luke hesitated at first but then moved closer. I turned around so my back was pressed agains his chest.
"Now wrap your arms my waist." I instructed. I felt Luke's warm embrace around my body making me relax. He rested his face in the crock of my neck making my stomach do flips.
"I could stay like this forever." He said against my skin.
Soon my eyes felt tired and my breathing slowed down. I could faintly hear Luke saying goodnight but at that pointing I felt too tired to know if it was just my imagination.
I think I'm finally happy.
