The next evening, after all their homework was done, the twins and Ron went to go visit Hermione. "What's this?" Scarlett asked. In Hermione's hand, there was a small piece of paper. Scarlett opened it up and clasped a hand on her forehead.
"That makes perfect sense!" She exclaimed, running out of the Hospital Wing.
The boys followed her as she read the page out loud. "The Basilisk is a snake that can cause death with a single glance. Petrifies, muggle-borns. Spiders flee before it." Scarlett stopped and looked at Harry. "That's why we can hear it, Harry it's a snake!" She said.
"All students must go to their dormitories immediately, teachers meet in the message corridor." Professor McGonagall told the castle.
"Come on." Scarlett instructed to the boys. They follows her then, she stopped suddenly. Harry almost ran into her, almost knocking them both over.
"The heir, has left another message!" Professor McGonagall announced, pointing toward the wall. The message, was clear for the three to see;
Her skeleton will lie in the Chamber forever.
"Who has been taken?" Madam Promfery asked.
"Ginny Weasley. We must close the school tomorrow. Send the children home. This is the end of Hogwarts." Professor McGonagall replied.
"I can save the school!" Lockhart said, "I knew where the Chamber was all along."
"Good, Professor, we'll leave it to you to deal with the monster! Professor Snape suggested, smiling.
Lockhart paled, but then smiled. "Of course!" He said as he walked toward his office, "I'll be getting ready, in my office!"
The Professors left leaving Ron horror struck. "Ginny." He whispered.
"We're going to tell Lockhart what we know." Harry announced. Scarlett nodded as they walked to Lockhart's office.
Scarlett burst through the door saying "Professor! We have some information-- are you going somewhere?"
